I remember LG and I had this conversation before. Went back and tried to find my source but couldn't. All I could find was that he was born in Plymouth and raised in NZ.
I do remember something about his heritage though. I think one of his parents is from somewhere in Africa. Will do some more research though.

That sounded familiar to me too, so I googled.
NZ Herald claims he was born in Zimbabwe (sauce) but Wanganui Chronicle claims he was born in England (sauce). So I'm guessing he was born in England and is of Zimbabwean descent.
