Just found this on the Soccernet website...

And as well as doing the business on the field, Griffiths is attracting almost as much attention away from the pitch with his all-Aussie appeal. Tall, blonde, good-looking and passionately patriotic, he's a marketer's dream, happy to strike a pose for photographers on one of Newcastle's famous surf beaches.

Are you f**king kidding me?

They forgot to include the fact that he likes punching people in the nuts, preferably linesmen.

Three for me, and two for them.

Lanky, arrogant, cocky and overrated, he's a marketer's nightmare, not wanted to strike a pose for photographers on one of Newcastle's famous surf beaches.

I think I can safely say that Hard News won't be pinning that article on his bedroom wall! On his dartboard, maybe....

As for being a marketer's dream! Marketer's nightmare more like. If I was a marketer, I think I'd be exteremely  wary of somebody who's liable to wallop a match official in the knackers at any moment.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

And also someone who will be on the first plane back to Europe should a second division Austrian side (or their equivalent) push a contract under his nose...

The nix need to pay him more. It's obvious he can only afford half a haircut.

A legend in his own mind. Still, 'The Pink Triangle" magazine may be interested in the centerfold section. Lonegunmen2008-01-24 14:31:07

Meh, in most interviews etc. Griffiths seems ok. A bit slow, but ok. On the field he's obviously a class A w**ker but when I played I was like that too as soon as I got on the pitch.
