Last time I heard Smeltzy was on top in this race, anyone have details about how its going now and how it is decided? Is it the same as the Dally M? Who else would be in the race?

I'll through some names out.
Kevin Muscat
Glenn Moss (not enough games)
Sergio Van Dijk
Nikita Rukavytsya
Charlie Miller (if he wasn't always injured, he was playing well)
Sasa Ognenovski
Tando Velaphi (Been outstanding since he got a look in)
Roddie Vargas

How do you know who is in the lead or are you just guessing at it?

Just throwing in who might be good candidates or in the running. I honestly have no idea how they rank it, judge it or who is in the running for it.

Adelaide would have a few contenders apart from Ogenovski. Dodd for one, and Galekovic has been the outstanding keeper this season. Also Jamieson who is the best attacking fullback in the league imo.

The Johnny Warren Medal is chosen by votes from all clubs 23-men rosters (not including injury replacement players e.g. Sex Panther). All eligible players vote on a 3-2-1 basis once every seven rounds, so at the conclusion of of rounds 7, 14 and 21. Votes cannot be given to team members and players who have recieved a direct red card or been suspended by the disciplinary hearings tribunal are ineligible for the award.

By the way I'd add Jedinak to the list as well.
