is it just me or do the marinators only have 1 import player (Andre Gumprecht) if so it doesnt make much sense. They only have him on the CCM website. Hard News2007-08-30 21:25:45

They have an astute coach and have recruted some of the best (if injury prone) players in Australia.  You can have all the imports you want but a fit Mrdja and Petrovksi gives them the second best pair of strikers in the league, with Pondeljak, Gumprecht, Jedinak and a stack of others as support. 

They made the final in V1 with most of this squad and only just missed the playoffs last year after a nightmare injury run.

They're top of the league remember lads and the leagues star import Juninho wasn't good enough to stop them on Friday night.

Juninho is one player, he couldn't stop a whole team, and CCM are top of the league but only one match has been played.

I though CCM looked a more than decent outfit last week. To be honest, after watching last week's games I reckon an away game against this mob, without the backing of our 15000 troops, will be a far bigger test for us than the Victory were. Still fancy us to sneak the win tho'

Mariners might be on top of the league, but they had the worst passing, passes completed percentage in the whole round and it was by a fair way too.
