Frankly, I'm surprised that the "tallness" factor, the respective size of their hands and the length and breadth of their 'marriage furniture' haven't been taken into account yet...
Ok but those two goals of Cassio's in the second half were very similar and his reaction were poor but that game was really that they played brilliantly and we played terribly. I think we will find out next season who is the better keeper one way or the other next season.
The first one was hit like a rocket, no chance on that one.
Second one was a bit closer to Moss, and on a different day he may have got a hand to it. Didn't, but Cassio was always likely to score with that much time and space.

No because for example Sigmund played in the game against Adelaide does that make him a crap defender because of that one game? You need to find out how many goals were scored against each defender.
By the exact same logic I could say:
"Moss played in the game against Adelaide does that make him a crap 'keeper because of that one game?"
And no, you need to find that out if you want to convince anyone of your significant preference for Paston.

Moss was worse, but he alone didn't cost us the points. We were universally awful that day, did nothing at all to play to the conditions.

That 3rd goal was terrible honestly I don't know wth Moss was thinking. If he had stayed on his line it wouldn't have been a goal perhaps he though there were not 2 defenders on Allsopp?

What really bugs me about Moss leaving other than my opinion that Moss is a better keeper is that Paston is 32 and Moss is 25. Unfortunate that we are keeping the older keeper.

Same for Moss though, that game had the worst weather we've ever had for a Phoenix game here in Wellington.
Should not be used as an excuse though (same goes for Paston, too!), that was Moss's poorest game for us.

I shall come out and say I am a Paston fan, he tries to catch the ball rather than punching. Mossey has had some good games and some bad games too.
Face it, we've been lucky that we have two damn good keepers. Moss last weekend won us the three points before our first goal went in. He was brilliant at shot stopping. I wish him well at Melbourne and thank him for his eforts for the Nix.
Paston will be our number one and not without merit. He's tall, brave and gives it everything. Time we got behind them both and thanks them for two years of holding the fort!

Ill informed because you were using the most basic of statistics to judge a keepers talent.
I have never once said "all there was to keeping was shot-stopping" and it's true not every one of Moss goals conceded were his fault. Same for Paston. Which is why the stat is useless.
Regarding the number of saves Moss has made and you using that to prove his organisation is worse, I am unconvinced. As I have mentioned before, surely you look at other personnel first before blaming one person's organisation skills. Centre Backs should have pretty good communication skills too and have a good view of the game unfolding.
I even provided some damning statistics regarding who each of them have played with, that could explain why Moss has had to save more and also brought up the fact that simple numbers don't take into account the quality of the shots stopped.
And one more time (Jese I'm getting sick of this) - I have never stated Moss as being better, just provided comprehensive reasons why you have not proven Paston is better.
Can you please read, and rebuf every one of my points before bothering to post again. Otherwise I'm not bothering to continue to point out the same things over and over.
