Wellington Phoenix FC with the very kind support of Wellington City Council and Westpac Stadium have come to the party for this Fridays game and agreed to allow kids to come free.

Up to three kids per adult can come free when accompanied by a paying adult! Tickets are still required and can be purchased from the Phoenix store and from Ticketek.

Everyone should tell anyone they know or see on the street with a kid that they get in free. Tell the kid in fact, then they can bug their parents to go until they give in

Great initiative to get the kids along  , but what about the LOYAL fans who had already bought their tickets?  I went to the Phoenix store on Tuesday & bought 4 kids tickets amongst others, can I get a credit on my Sh*titek account? will I get discount vouchers for the Club shop, I cant even claim a discount on my WCC rates as I dont live in Wellington. Am stoked that this will get more people along on friday, but a bit p*ssed that I persuaded a mate to come along & bring his kids, then the next day kids are free.

Sorry for excessive use of emoticons, am confused at the moment, trying to figure out how many beers I could have had if I hadnt paid for the kids tickets

You made a donation to the mighty cause of the Nix and you will be rewarded in heaven. Or at least the Nix are four tickets closer to not having to busk on the street for player's wages, or play a game in Hamilton which would be even worse.

My season ticket already meant I was going, the extra tickets I bought are for friends & their kids who havent been to a Phoenix game before, & they have already paid me $90 for them. They could now buy two adult tickets for $50 & feel a bit ripped off by me! Not the best look if you want more fans to go more often & buy tickets, rather than give them away. yeah they probably shouldve announced this a little earlier i guess, after last rounds results across the league putting us in prime spot at 4th... a lot of people wouldve rushed to buy tickets to avoid game day queues, i know i did. i bought a bunch online on sunday

How is it that the Council gets some credit here? Did Council subsidise this?

Can kids tickets be picked up from the Nix store with presentation of a season pass?

Yep , but you pay a $6 booking fee in total regardless of the amount of tickets.
