Kossie had high praise for Moss taken from A-League site.

Sydney FC coach John Kosmina believes his side was unlucky not to collect three Hyundai A-League competition points against Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium on Saturday night.

The match ended 1-1 after a stoppage time penalty by Ufuk Talay cancelled out the first half goal from Phoenix captain Ross Aloisi.

Tremendous goalkeeping by Phoenix custodian Glen Moss was a major factor in Sydney only coming away from Wellington with a draw, Kosmina said.

"To be honest I think we deserved three (points)," Kosmina said afterwards.

"Having said that I can see why Ricki Herbert left Glen Moss back here instead of taking him with the national team because he kept his team alive he pulled off some great saves."

"On the face of it we could have won that by three or four."

Sydney defender Mark Rudan echoed his coach's comments.

"I thought we had enough chances to win that game a few times over."

"Mossy had a fantastic game - and they defended really well - and it's one of those games where I didn't think we'd score. We could have played on and on and we maybe wouldn't have scored, but credit to the boys, we just kept going - even with a man down, we pushed bodies forward and I think we got a deserved reward."
