Only 6 points off of 3rd isn't that bad. It is our form more than our table position which is concerning.

Or alternatively, 3 points ahead of second-last. And yes, right about the form, and it doesn't look like it'll get a whole lot better quickly.

We need to sign "Not a Striker" asap.

I'm hoping that most injury/suspension problems will be mostly over after a few games and we can start getting a regular XI on the pitch which hopefully will help with our cohesion and also having more quality on the field. Just need a decent run and get into the finals, then cross our fingers. I did think our setup against Adelaide was interesting and possibly worth exploring again.

Yeh, trying to find a line-up for the next game will be interesting though!

we do have a handy run of home games to end the season though. Which should see better form than the 2 home games in 3 months run we are in at the moment. 

Wow, i knew we hadn't played a lot at home, but I hadn't realised how hard we made it on ourselves.  We have played in Wellington once in November, once in December and once in January.  I know that isn't a metrics thread, but that must make it hard to build a consistent crowd.  

but if we'd played a couple more of the dross games we've had at home then that wouldn't have helped crowds either ...

better start scoring more goals then otherwise it aint going to happen.  6 pointer this weekend.

Finishing 6th is better than 7th but what chance do you guys give us of winning the league from 6th?

1 in 6.

If we have no chance of winning the league from 6th then our goal should be:

a) to finish high enough on the table to have a chance of winning the league (I would say top 3 or 4).

b) if a is not achievable then we should try to position ourselves to finish top 3 next season.
