Finishing 6th is better than 7th but what chance do you guys give us of winning the league from 6th?

No chance. Never been done. Never even close

If we have no chance of winning the league from 6th then our goal should be:

a) to finish high enough on the table to have a chance of winning the league (I would say top 3 or 4).

b) if a is not achievable then we should try to position ourselves to finish top 3 next season.

This has been a goal for every season so far...last year was good albeit except for the bit that mattered.

Are winner has never come from outside first two.

Just because it hasn't been done, doesn't mean it cant.  In order for it to have happened, someone has to do it when no one else has.

I'm predicting the Nix to take home the trophy after finishing 6th.

In terms of the narrative for the media, there is a world of difference between finishing 6th and finishing 7th.

Stuff it, lets win the whole damn thing from 6th place

This is true. A top 6 push would definitely increase crowds towards the pointy end of the season. Obviously, I would rather have a 1/100 chance by coming 6th than a 0/100 chance by coming 7th. I just hope we can come 6th by introducing young players (which Ernie did a very good job at on the weekend).

Top 6 then get some crazy Arabian oil person to fund a 3 game "guest" player or two, I'm sure we can get Messi with his new trophy to come score some goals. See its easy when you have a plan!!

Look at that. We should clearly be the nix strategy advisors. How have they never thought of this.

Most disappointing thing about the table is that we aren't top and secondly have gotten about as many points off Roar as the bottom 3 teams.

It's not the best start to a season ever anymore, is it?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

What is it based on? Is it goals scored?

Goal difference and then goals scored. We have the same difference but more goals scored.

well that's that sorted then.  I don't expect that gap to close enough unless one or two clubs go into freefall.

Quite frankly, even if someone does, it's hard to see where our points are going to come from the way we're playing right now.
