With a win against Newcastle and Roar lose - we can go as high as 5th.

We'd need to win by 7 goals or Queensland would have to lose by 7 goals for the goal difference to push us into 4th.

5th would be ok, still half the season to go. Take one place at a time, if we finish a strong 5th I'll be happy, if we make 4th and can hold it - fab!

We really need to beat Newcastle next up. I can't see us beating Melbourne. For some reason Allsopp always runs us ragged - did the same to the Knights.

Yup...need points off Newcastle coz its Melbourne and Adelaide(away) after that...If we get 5 or 6 points out of those three then we would be looking good.

Yup, 5/6 sounds good, a strong win against Newcastle plus a result against Melbs is what we need to aim for coming into what will be a very difficult game against United, where I'd be pleased with a draw.

You know we belong together...

4 points from the next two games would be a terrific result.

really, anything but last and I will be over the moon. Obviously this isn't the attitude I want the players to have, but as a fan of both the Knights and then the Phoenix it would be nice to get off the foot of the table for the first time.

Pretty confident we will finish somewhere in the bottom 3. We aren't consistent enough to finish any higher.

Perth should have been wooden spooners last season imo, but they are a better side this year. I would be surprised if they finished last. I reckon Newcastle might get the spoon.

Good and we would have the good run of form back, especially when we have a row of home games after these tough away games.

I reckon if we aimed for at least 18 points from the next 10 games - giving us 30 at the end of it all we'd be doing ok.Would see us just outside the top four of last years table.....

we've beaten Sydney twice, CCM once, drew with Queensland and Newcastle - who else did we draw with?

cheers, hopefully we can hammer Newcastle down next week, not sure who I want to see come off tops in Puddycats vs Perth, do we want Glolry kept away or 5th place a possibility? The other two games will hopefully be draws, as they're all within the top four.

The onus is on us to perform against Newcastle tomorrow. It's a game where we'd dearly love to take the 3 points, to put ourselves within a win of a playoff position.

In fact, the next stretch of games is crucial, as Leo referred to yesterday...4 out of the next 5 at home, and with Fredtastic.

it might be important to sort that goal difference of ours before the play-off positions get decided

Yeah, a win by 2-3 goals is definitly in need. We've gotta at least get it into the positives.

Be nice to finally get a win by more than 1 goal, those matches against Perth last year seem like a very very long time ago. It feels much more satisfactory when you've won without having to hold out desperately for the final stages.

I feel more confident about Friday than I did at the 30th minute of today's game.

We had to win with that numerical advantage.

Melbourne look back in form after a little goal-drought.

We got nothing to lose then, I guess.
