Not in the show synopsis but my friend works on it and said Leo was going to be on tonight.
Screens Thursday 8:30pm till 9:30pm on Maori TV.

If you're in Auckland you can be in the studio audience too!

He's on but didn't say too much. He is still bitter about Payne though.

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

Maori TV  showed the Tibetan monk in India football movie The Cup a month or two back.

I suspect the movies they show rate reasonably well with an older audience.

Damn, I was busy then and didn't know it was on. So why is Leo in Auckland?? And why is he Maori, the last time I heard he was son of a Greek?

Nah never mind only kidding. . . it's great that we get more media shout outs.

Yep he said  his Mum's iwi from Taranaki, but the family are in Waikanae.

...and Michael, I'd say the best audience figures for Maori TV were over recent weeks when the NZ Breakers were battling it out for the Oz NBL finals.

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

So the Maori AWs are Rory Fallon, Winston Reid and Leo Bertos, right?

Was it Ricki Herbert who said he thought more Polynesians should play the game as they would bring their island flair into the game? I think it was in his book. Or I'm making it up. Either way, I think it is a good point. Look at the skill Maori and Polynesian players bring to rugby and league. It could also apply to football. Or not.

A big advantage of the Polynesian players in league and rugby is their physical side... Which would mean a lot of fouls if they played that way for the 'Nix.

Tahitians are very close relatives of Maori and they've got some pretty good footballers.

You can be physical without breaking the law in football.

Yeah, that's true, although I don't know about the fouls... I'd like to think the so called "Polynesian flair" could create good attacking players.

Who are some of the Tahitians who have done well internationally? Any the Nix could look at?

Yes but it's quite hard, especially with A-League refs.
