Let's tell Paul Henry what we think

Let's all email that pompous and arrogant dork Paul Henry and tell him that there are lots of Phoenix fans! He seems to think there are only about 4 of us (I would say that he is confusing us with the number of people that enjoying watching him on TV - and one of those is his Mum)...

Below is what I sent him. Post here when you've done it!

Dear Paul,

In light of your ill-informed and misguided comments of late, I couldn't help but write to you to tell you that there are, in fact, plenty of Phoenix supporters - why don't you open your eyes and look at the attendances so far.

The Phoenix have had more fans to their pre-season matches than any of the Air New Zealand Cup sides did to their pre-season matches.

They also have had a better attendance to their opening match than the Wellington Lions have managed to get to any game this season.

They will also supass the entire season's attendances at Knights games from last year in just 2 home games.

No doubt, there are probably some fans who have travelled from your former stomping ground of little old Carterton.

Why don't you take up the Yellow Fever invite and come to a game youself - or at least have the decency to give a reason why you won't.

No doubt though, you won't reply to this email, or you will get in some cheap shot like you did to the YF founders this morning once they lost their chance to reply...

Regards,

The Lions had 20k to Tana's last match.

Doesn't this depend on getting 20k to Sunday's match? Either way, it's a bit early to say.

No - Tana's match was only 14k officially (taken from the ticket scanners). 20k was reported once season/life passes etc. were included, but was basically heresay.

We need 14,400 to beat the Knights which I would imagine is a shoe-in.

And anyway, the point of this thread is to tell Paul Henry he is a twat!

should have said ..'thankyou Tamati, yes we'd like to extend a warm invitation to Paul Henry to attend the Fever Zone ..not so much a challenge (for the amusement of the entire long suffering breakfasting nation), since although he might be a small flabby dumpty little creature, might be close to going bald, might be an opinionated little bastard who can't STFU, might be an obsessive bore constantly referencing trivialities & going on & on & on about his childish compulsions, might be an ingratiating brown nosing little corporate kissarse ..we expect he'd fit right in ..if not with us then at least the opposition supporters, who of course we also scrupulously host at sophisticated pre & post match functions ..'
oh wait ..the TV mail filters out 'bad thoughts' so they'll never ever have to trouble their little peter & pauls

Tana's 20k was a complete fairytale.

Ok TONE it down. This forum is public.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
