Not sure if anyone has talked about it yet, but is there any possible link ups with an English club. I know the link Knights had with Charlton (not sure of what it achieved) but with all the fresh optimism, a decent partnership could be fruitful. It could raise the profile of the 'A LEAGUE' and Wellington over in England and subsequently Europe.
Good luck with next season

Tried twice, failed twice...(and that is just in NZ, ask ex-Spirit fans about Rangers)  shouldn't even be considered. Hard News2007-04-22 08:50:28

Yeah didn't work, Kingz had a link with Chelsea, too (didn't they?). Nothing came about of both, other than the Knights had a Charlton logo on their sleeve.

2 youngsters got to go and train at Chelsea, but the best part of the deal was that the Kingz supporters club played against the Chelsea suppoters club as a curtainrasier and kicked butt. Theres a picture on some website of the Erricson scoreboard which reads

Kingz 3
Chelsea 2

Someone may correct me on that score (Hardnews)

Theres a number of "foreign club" supporters clubs operating in Wellington so it would be good to get them involved.

Contact and arrangements with European outfits have turned out to be a farce, becasue no tangible outcomes are agreed upon. t's nothing more that a marketing gimmick. Bah. phil_style2007-04-23 08:35:50
