I'm looking to write a short article on Wellington Phoenix supporters, particularly those who go to away games. I'm looking for information on what sort of toll it takes on the fans financially and personally, any issues that you would like to be highlighted, things that could be done better and what you enjoy about it.
Being from the UK originally and seeing fans of our clubs endlessly speak about the logistics and costs that are put on away supporters I thought there can be very few supporters in the world who would have the same experiences as those who follow Phoenix. I'm based in Melbourne currently and went to the Victory vs Phoenix game last year and decided it would be an excellent idea for a piece but I thought it best to speak to the source directly, as obviously no one knows a club better than it's supporters.
Unfortunately, as I'm only recently getting into writing I wouldn't be able to offer any money for your insight, rest assured I will not be receiving a cent either! If there's any interest in the article, I may look to meet a few fans during next months game to get more information ect and make it longer form.
