Lunchtime Footy - 12:30 - Kelburn park

Folks,

I've got a full side (ish), but Tony Morrison needs a couple of folks keen on a game to fill in for one of the other sides at lunchtime 5-a-side on Kelburn Park.  Half hour game, catch the Cable Car up if you don't fancy the walk...

If you are keen and have gear with you, let me know either in this thread or via PM.

Best bet is grab the cable car and get off at the second to top station (salamanca ?)

But yeah the Cable Car does seem the best bet...just need to actually have some soccer gear. If you are desperate, can help though...

you're playing on a rock field. Football gear isn't that useful. Maybe some decent shoes...

I'd be keen for a run as well, I'm only 5 mins away if there are still places...

I suppose I am Australian, so need to give the kiwis some chance ...so I will play in different shoes to normal football boots? Need shinpads, or is this just a friendly 5 a side match?

Anyhow even if I don't get a game, gives an excuse to catch the cable car up to Salamanca.

Absolutely.  Bring some shorts for Egan...

I suspect mine would be a little large on him.

No need for Shinny's Egan, very definitely social 5-a-side.  Only three or four up there wear them.

Shinpads aren't needed. Well, not in the mixed grades...
They are generally pretty friendly.

Different shoes = sneakers or blades. Not those stupid things that people wear to look good...

Ahh well I have sneakers on, not as competitive as the annual Gloryboys kick around

I am trying to assist a gentleman who does a great deal for Wellington football... I thought the least we could do is give it a little profile.

Besides, I enforce the rules, I can bend them.

Haha, be glad you weren't at Karori park or something. How often are these? I'm interested.
