Not sure why they gave it to Riera - I would have suggested Bonevacia or Fenton.

But obviously, it has to be David Carney.

Seeing as they only ever give it to Nix players, I'd say Roly was clearly our best. Riera was decent though, and probably better than any other Nix player last night.

Fenton though - are you serious? I thought he was poor. Kept getting outside his man and then cutting back in where he then either got easily tackled or just played a nothing pass back into midfield. He didn't do anything special on defence either except manage to keep both his shoulders in their sockets as Carney monstered him.

Not sure about others but hate the MOM being announced when we are being beaten just dosnt feel right somehow. Might be okay if they said Phoenix MOM but they don't.

I thought Riera was very good; deserved winner.

Fenton provided a lot of our attacking impetus, especially in that first half. Played well too I thought.

Doyle slotted in decently as well - didn't really make any noticable mistakes.

From what I saw, although fenton did carry the ball forward he didnt too much with it, passes going aimlessly astray, not being quick enough to get back and defend when caught upfield...and wasnt it fenton who stood off his player when they crossed for carney to score and also one of the defenders the jets player went between to score the second? Dont get me wrong there were other defenders at fault but I dont think fenton was in fact very good

I think Rory was head and shoulders above anyone else on the team, but I agree that with a goal and an assist (and a few real cnut moments) he would have been my MoM.

Carney did two good things and was rubbish for the rest of the game.

Have you seen Riera's stats from the game? Highly impressive, definite man of match for me.

Should we bring back the Fever MoM polls?

Roly easily the best, Riera definitely our second best player on the night.

Please bring back the polls. It's good to see what everyone thinks quickly without having to scroll through paragraphs of text!

Roly was very good, on a couple of occasions tried the ridiculous - that cross field pass behind Doyle an example, Lia got stuck into him for that.

Still, who would have been MOM from either side? I thought Lee was NUJ best followed by Birighitti

Roly was superb - a joy to watch. Albert was also good but I think Vinniesta was excellent

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I think Durante should have got it. We hadn't conceded whilst he was on the pitch.

Was that their LB? I thought he was the worst player on the pitch. By some distance.

i dunno, their goalkeeper wasn't much but we really did not test him that often.

I thought Vinny was good, but watching the reply...Albert was basically doing his job too.

Yeah, he setup the first goal, made a great tackle on Krishna one-on-one - most of NUJ attacks came down the left with him. Our right side is stronger than the left, yet Hoffman had a tough time with McGlinchey and even Doyle.

Edit: he was also defending behind Carney who hardly did a thing when defending.

I find it weird we announce the man of the match while the game is still going.

If Roly had scored 2 miracle goals in the last 5 minutes to win it for us, it would be hard to justify Riera as the man of the match.

Yep, thought he had a good game for them. Stopped Krishna on countless occasions.

Funny how two people can see things completely differently - I thought he was dreadful in not exploiting acres of space in front of him. The goal - hmm, I mean he'll get the assist but that was a top header by Carney and poor defending from our centre-backs. He really should have done lot more in the game with the space he had and Fenton in front of him.

He was terrible defensively, the run down of Krishna notwithstanding (the only good defensive thing I can recall him doing in the same game), he got beaten one on one repeatedly, had a pretty dicey touch, and I actually thought Carney helped him out defensively quite a bit.

But nevermind, not really that important.

Roly ran the game, clearly the best on the pitch
