Great player.

Shame it never worked out for him at the beginning with Stuttgart with injuries.

While his best performances were with Victory along with Ifill, the only Nix player who I would get excited every time he touched the ball.

I'd add Luke Brooke-Smith to this for potential. Thus far he gets your attention.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Always a shame when the body can't hold up to the stresses and strains of professional retirement anymore.

All jokes aside, thanks for the memories Marco - and thanks for not scoring too many times against us!

Sadly Marco never did much in white.

I have a feeling LBS will turn it to be the best player to ever come out of the Nix and maybe the Waikato too (Wood currently occupying that space).

Be nice if Marco was honoured at a VUC verus Nix game this season. Sounds like Melbourne is home for him now. Bonafide Victory legend, but his career started & finished at the Phoenix.

In his prime one of the most exciting players to ever grace the A League. Won the Johnny Warren in 2012/13. Him and Archie T were a great double act. But sadly like so many players his career ended on a whimper. Father time.

He loved playing the Jets.
