Charlie Smith (former Zephyr Rover) met John Aldridge recently inhis pub in Liverpool- maybe he's in our price range lmao. Then again he had a coffee with David Seaman - maybe he'd be a better option.
Realisticaly - we'll get a marquee player we've never heard of.

I hope you find a good marquee player who will do good for your squad.
Maybe you could get Trevor Sinclair (if he is finished in
England). Kevin Phillips would be a goal scoring machine or Tony
Lochead (I think hat is how it is spelt) well not as marquee but a
local who may return home and play within the cap.

In the A-league last season one of the Knights main problems was
scoring goals. I think they need 2 get a striker as their marquee
player. It would be brilliant if the Phoenix could get Patrick
Kluivert from PSV Eindhoven or Nuno Gomes from Benfica.

What sort of nationalities are in Wellington mostly.
They might not be worth $5million. Patrick Kluivert was hardcore
when he was with AC Milan and Barcelona but he has had quite a few
injuries lately and as far as im aware he doesnt play a heap of
games 4 psv (although I could b wrong on that). If Sydney could get
dwight yorke I don't think it's unrealistic 4 us 2 get Kluivert if
we get decent sponsors. But I have to agree, Gomes is out of reach.
I would like them to get a player on loan if its a struggling
youngster or old guy if they have the ability to be the best player
in the team easily then he would be a good signing.
