Larsoon would be perfect. 36 however not over the hill. Probably in the right price range. The only problem is he probably doesn't need to play football any more so may prefert to live in Sweden.
Fark he was good for Celtic!

Apparently, he's planning to retire after his contract with Helsingborg finishes.

Yeah no chance there im afraid, would of loved him to be here.

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

I just saw that Corinthians have been relegated for the first time and are in a financial crisis following the stuff with MSI. One player that could fit the bill is Vampeta, capped 41 times for Brazil, is 33.

If I remember correctly he is more of a defensive midfielder and possibly could fit in the salary cap. Not sure on the quality of the other players in the squad, there is a Ricardinho not sure if it is the Ricardinho I was thinking about.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Romario...? Do you want to be banned from this site?

Maybe out of reach, but what about Marcelo Sala. He is playing in Chile, is only 32 and a class goal scorer. That goal against England was amazing, where he controlled the long ball and volleyed it in in one motion.

I will be happy with Elrich next year, maybe the possibility of an ozzy call up for world cup qualifications will help him raise his game. That was his reason for playing in the HAL. Maybe a strict fitness/speed programme for the offseason, the speed programme for the rest of the team too.

I had a look through african teams and leagues on wikipedia, not that much info, but a lot of the better players are in europe, well funded african leagues such as northern african leagues and south africa or in arab nations where there is lots of money too. so considering that, its hard to find a suitable african player.

Edit: I was actually very bored at work and had a look all confederations and their players of the year and finalists, looked at those that are more likely to move to the HAL, old or poor league etc.

From Africa there were players like Tijani Babingida (ex Ajax), Victor Ikpeba (ex Monaco), Salas from South America. AFC had players in arab or eastern asian leagues so I dont think they would come to the HAL.

All of this proved how tough it is to scout for talent around the world, especially with salary caps and the league is still new so not much pulling power. Main factors other than $ and first team football, would have to be lifestyle, learning english and possibly greater exposure.

Though I don't want him to leave Forest, Nathan Tyson is an awesome striker with a lot of pace and certainly isn't afraid of shooting.  The only thing holding him back recently has been injury but he seems over that and scored a couple in the FA Cup tie the other day.

I've been trying to put forward Mendietas cause! Might be worth a shot

and hey Scottishbhoy...if we can't get Larsson how about the next best thing...John Hartson could form an effective partnership with Smeltz. He is being linked with league 2 sides now in England so he could be worth a shot. Bit chubby now but Ricki could chase him round the cake tin a few times every morning perhaps?

Why has no one mentioned the great Ricki Herbert yet? C'mon, get your boots on and show Dodd and co how it's really done.

Hartson??? no no NO NO NEVER!!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

but if Ricki's still on crutches, Hartson might bugger off with the cake tin and scoff  the lot!

(he might be better of chasing him round the Ring of Fire!!, perhaps)

Yesterday Dean Windass of Hull was mentioned.  As one of the few people playing professional football who is older than me I would endorse this signing - just to give hope for the almost (?) middle aged.

What else could he have done?

Teddy Sherrigham, older but still a good value player. I would be happy. I heard Elrich's brother might be interested in signing with the Phoenix... Watch that space.

That's right, quickly, get out there and spend Terry's money (which he's already spent an awful lot of) and sign a player who last had a profile when Mario Jardel knew what a goal looked like.

I do despair...

LOL, in reality we should be looking for young guns. Like I said Africa, playing on and for dust. Someone buy a plane ticket. As for spending Terrys money. Has it been spent wisely? and who accountable?

Now John Hartson And Mario Jardel And Brazilian Ronaldo And Maybe Roberto Carlos Would Be Very Intrested Because Of The Name Of Our Stadium... The Cake Tin...
But I Guess Any Clubs Stadium That Has Pies In It Would Take All Of Them On Frees..

Just hope he doesn't bugger off to Swansea like the papers seem to be saying he will. Maybe he's been offered the master key to the chip shops of Swansea.

Rivaldos 35 and seemingly having a ball of a time in the Greek league right now. He'd be nice but i'd say hes a little unrealistic since from what i've seen he's still chasing the highest salary he can get short of going to the middle east.
