What's Eric Cantona up to these days?

About 110 kg.

Best bet for a high profile, crowd puller has been mentioned elsewhere...  If you're looking for aging players with world wide reps to fill seats, then you'd better look at Juninho.  For footballing reasons I'd be against him (legs are shot) - but for commercial ones he'd be hard to beat.  He's available, he's willing to move to 'less fashionable' clubs, and he's at the age that he's looking for one last deal.  That said, you'd be better off going for a higher standard of young player

Good call.  He's a player who'll keep going until he is told to retire by the doctors.  Loves the game.

Sawu...

Abel Xavier - free and available.  Teams dubious of him though due to past indescretions.

Stern John - under contract on good money for another year at Sunderland (Dwight Yorke is semi-available though)

Paulo Wanchope - on very good money in Tokyo (tried to get him down to A-League after the world cup but he was waaaaay to expensive).

Savo Milosovic - on his way out at Osasuna, but may get one more season in the Primera before he hangs up his boots.

Franny Jeffers - under contract on good money at Ipswich

Darren Anderton (Bournemouth) and Nick Barmby (Hull reserves) - both good shouts.  Not exactly living the high life at the moment, but might like a move to the A-League - still 'high profile' enough to raise interest over here.
That said, Darren is very close to hanging the boots up, and Nicky left Spurs because he was homesick for the North, so not sure how he'd cope with Wellington.

ah, no...  Jeffers is on good money at Blackburn but spent most of the 2nd half of the season on loan at Ipswich.  He finds out next week if Blackburn want to keep him and if not he and Ipswich will probably agree terms pretty quickly.

Paolo Di Canio - apart from the fact he's a footballing genius he's also a controversial media magnet (and his salutes would go well with our Phoenix crest!)

Craig Bellamy if you want constant controversy, a few goals, plenty of pace and a player the fans could absolutely despise!!!! (well me anyway - hate the twat!!!)

Trevor Sinclair is available now - been released by City - Anderton is too injury prone.

If we're talking strikers - what are Marcelo Salas/Ivan Zamorano up to these days - picking they're back in South America

You can only have 4 imports and we have 1 already so that's not even remotely possible.
