11 vs 10. We have to throw caution to the wind now. We need 3 points

Are we less likely to score against 10 sitting in than 11 pushing for a goal?

All Adelaide have to do now is park the bus like the snakes did

Here we go let’s make use of them being down 10 men this time please

Let's see what we learnt from that WU match... If Adelaide sit back now it might not even help with our chance to win even if it's less likely we lose now...

C'mon Charles. Time to prove you're not as average as we all think!

The time put on for injury time is consistently an absolute joke.

To be honest I feel we could play another 90 and we still wouldn't win this. Just not our night

To be fair, if I was reffing this game I don't think I would want it to drag on much more either

Another 0-0 when we desperately need a win. Shark. We've only scored one goal from open play in our last three as well. Would take a miracle to make the 6 now, but I think our season died when we drew against Brisbane in that rice field last week.

- Season over, we were woeful in front of goal and Adelaide had the better chances even with just 10 men.
- Cant see the crowds coming to home games if they have to put up with this rubbish.

Sorry to break to everyone, we are not a top 6 team this season. As much as I would want them to make it, it seems impossible with toothless performances against 10 men teams. Good luck Nix.

Disappointing that we couldn't open them up without Davila. Hope like hell that he is gonna be ok. Piscopo tries to do it himself, and probably can at times. For goodness sake, someone try and do an assist.
Best were Sail, Taylor.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I don't think it was that bad a performance. Adelaide are a good team, they defended well and nullified our attack. As for not being a top 6 side we are just paying the price for dominating games earlier in the season against the likes of MV and MacArthur and then finding a way to lose them.
Actually on current form I'd say we are as good as or better than at least four of the teams above us. But current form doesn't count, points do.

another tough 0-0 result, clean sheet which is great, 6 games unbeaten, also good. But we really needed 3 points to push on to finals qual. 5 games to go, 2 at home. We sit 9th on 21 points. 4 wins out of the 5, hoping for a draw against Melb City we could come away with another 13 points, giving us a total of 34. Not sure if thats going to be enough to get to the 6.
If those above us drop games, and I think we play a couple of them, then maybe we can make it??

So mathematically still possible to make the 6, but looking unlikely.

That was a better display from Rufer. Not perfect, but much improved.

Sort of agree but Sydney are 4 spots above us and they are miles better than us

For another must win game the team does not look hungry, they may had 10-15 spell with Piscopo coming on, but Adelaide had far the better chances and in the end we are lucky for another useless draw. It's hard to get excited with that kind of football.

Would have been handy to have Yengi come off the Nix bench rather than Ngoy, for those last 15 minutes.

Ngoy frustratingly seems to have some of the attributes, but needed a spell in the ressies with coaching. Makes people appreciate Sotirio who does well within his limitations.

Not looking good to make the top 4 now unfortunately, and will need a lot least a few wins to make the 6. Hopefully the home matches assist with that.
On form there's only really one or two teams I'd really say are better than us currently, there's a heap of teams that are hard to separate, unfortunately our poor start to the season is costing us. Crazy tight table this season.

I think we played relatively well against a good team that sits well above us in the table. Certainly frustrating not have sneaked in a goal, but the same could have happened at the other end - either side could have easily lost this game by a single goal. We never got close enough to looking like scoring - the Reds defended well in the box.
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Okay confession- crashed asleep on Friday and missed the game. Watching it back now and got through the first half. We’re easily as good a team as Adelaide.
A couple of good chances either way, a lot of good football and good reffing. Payne is noticeably slower than Louis, but can cross an aerial ball better.
Also Ollie Sail is our best passer of the ball imo, Marinovic in goal and Sail in for Rufer.
And Hemed gives us about the same as Juric, which is a good A league striker- but I think we expect more from him given he’s played at a better level than Juric.

Piscopo isn’t as good as Davila. If Fenton gets a card for diving what about Yengi? And time added on- time wasting, that chat to the ref and then the head clash- 5 of the last ten minutes! That decided by the ref or the 4th official? Anyway- no matter.
Don’t think we were bad, just in no way better than them.
Still enjoy this ref in that he doesn’t reward weak play and flopping to get fouls, he clamps down on dissent absolutely and cards malicious or dangerous play with fairly good consistency.
Maybe we’re good enough to be top 6 now, but we’ve lost several close ones or failed to convert wins.
Still be keen for to do it, but we’d need a great run in and some luck. Be great if we were still alive when we get to NZ!

Having just watched the game I thought Sutton was poor defensively, McGarry definitely played the better of the two.
UFUK why do you start Sotirio? It should have been Wayne up front from the k/o. He would have cashed in on a few of the chances Josh had. Josh is best comming on with 15 to go running at dead legs as Jengie (not sure of spelling) did for them.
0-0 was a fair result, both teams very equal although we had more chances.
Also why is Davila the only Nix player to play decent ground through balls? Everyone else plays square or back in the 18 yard box.
