A great day - heaps of people, lots of kids and the players were all very patient, obliging and friendly.

Asked about the Phoenix shop and was told it would be open in a couple of weeks...

Kids wre rapt - got all the autographs bar Ricki's and as a bonus got Terry's

3k is an excellent turnout considering the coolish wind. Was awesome to meet the players and catch up with familiar faces. Just resizing some more photos to go up on here.

You were the guy with the camera? Nice.
A very enjoyable day, great chance to meet all the players etc.

Me and a few friends attempted to go up to the Phoenix lounge near the end, to see if there were any players who were willing to give signatures etc. We were told by a security lady that we were off limits, and she tried to close the doors to the Phoenix lounge and shoo us away. However, Iffil saw what was happening, came out and waved away the security lady then signed autographs for us. Greenacre and Durante soon followed suit.

Big ups Paul!
Yeah they were awesome.

Great day, and some of the new signings were fantastic to talk to.
You know we belong together...

I had had something else on today so couldn't go this year unfortunately so the wife decided to take our son - she said that Paul Ifill was very good looking, and now she wants to go next year as well (I'll be going too next time!)

Sounded amazing.   Do other A-League clubs run similar initiatives?  It seems a very good idea, 3 000 showing up is great.  I wish I could've been there.  Cheers for the pics LG, they're great.

Was interested when 3/4 of the boys were aiming for the bin. Especially as I read this morning that Huddlestone did it first time (and Keane 3rd) from 20 yards at training the other day.

After 10 mins of the Nix boys trying from 10 yards my attention wandered somewhat..!

Nevertheless, the kids loved it and I was glad to feel the difference between the turf at the RoF and Karori 3.

great day thought that all the guys were really genuine, I had a few good words with Siggy and Greenie which is cool, both friendly as and said to greenie how he must be sick of judas' name all the time even today in the highlights it was all him etc... but greenie smiled and said it comes with the territory and he reckons it'll fire him up for the season. so best answer I could've got I reckon. awesome turn out, can't wait!!!!!! NIX FTW!!!!!!

Any chance a few more season tickets will be sold after this successful Phoenix promo?  We've sold 2008 so far, how many were sold in season 1 and season 2, anyone know?

Lots of good news this week: promising signings, season ticket numbers on the rise, busy club day, Terry in fighting mood, ad on TV....things are moving along nicely.

I thought the off season would never end, but now I'm finally, finally starting to get excited. Congrats to all involved who made the club day such a success, and to all the fans who went along. Great to see so many star-stuck kids in the photos, even the 6 foot, balding ones.

I'm sure HN has lost a ton of weight when I saw him talking to Tony P. I wish I could lose some but the harder I try, the worse it gets.
