For all you stalkers out there .... and also parents going mad trying to find things to entertain the kids during the holidays (first one is today) ...

From 'In the Nix' email received yesterday - also on the Phoenix website

OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS

Phoenix fans have the chance to see their team gearing up for the Hyundai A-League 2009/10 season at a series of open training sessions this month.

Fresh from a short lay-off following an impressive campaign in 2008/09, the bulk of the Phoenix squad is back in Wellington and fired up for the expanded competition this season.

There will be four open training sessions during the school holidays in April, in Porirua, Petone, Karori and Upper Hutt. Its the perfect opportunity for fans to see the squad back on the training pitch, chat with players and collect autographs.

Local host football clubs at each event will be operating sausage sizzles and sale-priced Phoenix merchandise will be available for purchase.

The open sessions will be held at:

Porirua Park, Porirua
Thursday, April 16
10.30am-midday
Host club: Western Suburbs

Petone Memorial Park, Petone
Friday, April 17
10.30am-midday
Host club: Petone

Karori Park, Karori
Thursday, April 23
10.30am-midday
Host club: Waterside Karori

Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt
Friday, April 24
10.30am-midday
Host club: Upper Hutt

Maybe you'll meet Wyners there .....

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

managed to catch about 30 mins of the training this morning. My 2 and a half year didn't really seem that interested in watching
Good to see all the boys there. Siggie on crutches, anybody know how long his recovery from surgery is looking at taking.
I also noticed Christie training. I'm guessing we are looking at offering him another contract. Can anybody confirm?

I was a bit worried when I saw Siggie on crutches.
Spoke to Ricki Herbert breifly and he said Ben is fine, taking it slowly but will be fine for the start of the season. Lets hope so.
Phew!
