Meeting with Ticketek and Stadium

Met with both Ticketek and the stadium today and we discussed game day ticketing and season passes. Both parties understood the issues on hand and we have worked together to ensure it does not happen again.

Going forward there will 50% more ticket booths open and staff there to ensure people get in quickly.

In regards to season passes Ticketek will be up to date by tomorrow and will issue passes to all those who have not received them yet. There was a software problem with the scanners at the stadium on Sunday and that is why the barcodes did not work. This has been fixed today.

From today all season passes will be allocated on a best available basis. This will improve the process considerably.  All season passes bought by 5pm on Friday will be sent to members by the next game. Any bought after that a paper ticket will be issued with a season pass to follow.

Once again apologies to all fans that got into the game late and missed some of the action. Our message is still  buy your season pass or arrive earlier to the stadium to ensure you dont miss a minute.

Our aim is to break the record again against Newcastle, lets go for it.

Go the Nix

It is all sorted now, so everyone who hasn't should be buying their season tickets this week.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

This is all great news Tony.

Is there a plan for a press release stating all of these points for the general public.
I am just concerned that those people who in the end gave up and left without experiencing the atmosphere will have been put off trying again next week.

I'm pleased prgoress appears to have been made and, yes, here's hoping for a record attendence v Jets.

I would have expected an apology from ticketek or the club (whomever was responsible) for the delay in getting season passes out.

I can attest to the streamlined system. I bought my season pass online this morning. Spoke to girl at phoenix ticketek line (04) 384 2457 . And she allocated me my seats in the fever Zone saying i should get them early this week. Im a very happy man

I back up what Uber Gunner says - bought a second season ticket for the missus - even got her sitting next to me. Top job and Vienna is  a pleasure to deal with.

agree about Vienna, she deserves an award, has  been nothing but helpful which included helping me also get a seat in yellow fever for my partner.so she can also join in the abuse  (haven't told her it's 4 seats to the left of me yet)

Awesome news.  I assume that since I chose "I will pick up my season pass at the next game" that will still stand?  Its just that I'm on leave for the next couple weeks and don't want my pass lying around in my mailbox >.>

Alternatively you could hire some security guards to stand over your mailbox

As one of the early whingers, it's great to see you are sorting this Tony.

I'm sure we all have a sense of the logistical undertaking that starting a team from scratch must involve.

Really hope the wee nippers that were walked away by frustrated parents  get a chance to see the Phoenix rising soon. Albeit a safe distance from the yellow zone

Not to be a pessimist.

But I don't think the opening day crowd is going to be beaten this year unless we make the finals.

I am picking an average of 8k over the season.

If we build it, they will come...

Finally got my tickets today. I had to go pick them up from St. James but I was just glad to have them in my hands nearly 2 months after ordering.

everyone seemed pretty buzzed as they left the stadium, and even the non-football fans at work are saying they'll be back, hopefully we will avearge 11-13+, and a push to the finals could us top Sunday's gate.

Had to be there to know we will get higher than an average of 8k...

I'm glad that they have the scanner problem sorted out because I was sent backwards and forwards between two totally different gates, and had my bag searched three times, which was a giant windup!  Glad that the ticketing problems should now be fixed too.  A press release should be made so that those that gave up on Sunday and went home, know that the problem has been fixed.

Managed to seek out a lady selling programmes inside the gates and made a beeline for her, and grabbed a programme for posterity. Had to really be looking for her though, so hopefully that gets sorted too.

Apart from that I had a great day!!!!  At the scoring of the equaliser I jumped so high in the air I thought I was going to land on the man in the row in front of me!  Brilliant day, fantastic occassion. Can't wait for the Newcastle game! GO The Mighty NIX!!!!!!

LC, the buzz in Wgtn re the Phoenix right now is ludicrous.

If we get half decent weather next Sunday, the record will get smashed.

It would help to get some kind of result this weekend at CCM.

It would be great if we could smash, the JAFA's season total of 35,500 in just 2 home games.

Good news its all being sorted...

Hate to shatter your pessimism and negative comments londonchris but you've got to be here in Welly to understand the buzz surrounding the nix here mate, its unreal. cant see 8k crowd averages happening. Be more positive man, we've only had 1 game!!

After that opening  14,421 we'd need to drop to half that for each remaining game to have an 8k average.

Win tomorrow night, and fine weather next Sunday and we'll come close to matching the opener.

Excellent CEO speak Tony.

CEO's seem unable to use words such as 'in the future' any longer...

An away win tomorrow would see us at the top of the league albeit for a few hours perhaps ( i know chickens hatched  count your and all that  jazz) but the positive publicity beamed back here on the telly would surely guarantee another bumper crowd a week on Sunday.
So fingers crossed then!(and ticket booths opened as well)

I disagree, i think the better the phonenixs do the more people will be drawn in to quality football, they really need to lower those ticket prices a tad though, maybe %15 off or something, OR make it free and we'd get capacity crowd!

The only time I could see a small crowd is when the weather is absolutely CR@P ,being an ex Aucklander I can see the diference between the support of this team compared with the support of both the Knights and Kingz.
When this forum started I wrote that I had this gerat feeling about this TEAM primarily because here in Wellington the public support for any of its teams is greater than any I experienced in Auckland even if the team is winning or not .

While everybodys' patting themselves on the back can somebody please tell me why I've just been told by ticketek that there is no way I'll have my 2 season tickets (nearly $1000, paid for over a month ago) by the next Pheonix home game!!!!!!!!
Ticketek say they'll send me out paper tickets  for this game AND the next one,  in case I  still haven't got them by then (but they HOPE I won't have to use the second set!!!!!!!)

HEY TONY..........ANY CHANCE YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT's GOING ON CO'S I'M RAPIDLY BECOMING A VERY UNHAPPY FAN..........

I just pray the paper ones arrive in time but I'm not holding my breath.

Which ticketek are you talking to. The general 0800 version or the specific one set up for the phoenix. The phoenix one has everything sorted, the other one wouldnt know its arse from its elbow. UberGunner2007-08-31 15:19:01

Hi UberGunner

have been calling 04 384 2457 (the number given on a piece of paper accompanying the paper tickets I picked up for the last game.)  They said call by Weds if you needed to change allocated seats.  have been leaving messages all week on an answerphone (of course nobody came back to me) and finally got thru to a living being today who told me that they'd send the paper tickets etc...

I'm just sooooooo depressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder whether the club will do a bit of a discount if at our last home game we are looking for 3 points to push into the playoffs, bigger crowd , more atmosphere, even more fire in the Phoenix belly.

A long way off yet, but it'd be great (and pretty bloody amazing) to have a full house for our last home game!!!!

A win tonight will help!! (stuff commonsense and the TAB!! I want three points!!!)

Good work Tony - I paid for my tickets on 18 July and still don't have my season passes - they had better arrive this week, we can't have a repeat of last weeks queues.

They could always offer season ticket holders (1500-2000) an extra game free......the LA Galaxy visit perhaps?

Tony, Tony...are you out there.....listening to the people perhaps!!!  I know its Ticketeks issue but you could look after us and then flex your ever growing muscles with Ticketek - you have the power to take your business elsewhere!

Mine arrived this morning.  Trouble is I have had to hide it as the Junior News' one hasn't so I can't dance around in celebration.
