Celebrate #10MoreYears this Thursday!

Unless you've been living under a rock last few days you should know that last week the Phoenix was granted a licence to play in the Hyundai A-League for another 10 more years!

It's been a long road with a few twists and turns, but there's no doubt that the #savethenix campaign from the fans was all part of what inevitably got us the licence.

So to thank you - the fans - for all your support over the last few months the Club would like to invite you to a special celebration.

Chairman Rob Morrison will speak and give a bit of an update on what we, as a Club, can now look forward to!

Our thanks to Carlsberg who are generously sponsoring the event.

Details as per below:

What: #10MoreYears Celebration

Where: Apartment Bar, 25 Allen St

When: Thursday 25 February, 5.30pm

Note: this is open to Wellington Phoenix Members and Corporate Partners only. Please bring your season membership card and show at the door.

Nice. Probably can't make either event unfortunately. There's a pretty sweet metal band - The Sword - playing at Bodega on Friday night after the game too

Fire up time troops. Less than 7 hours to kick off. Duro, 10 more years, sunny day. Does it get any better other than with a 5-0 win for us!

Not many people knew, at least I hope that was the reason there was only about 150 people at Bodega

Played: Never Talking to You Again, Green Eyes, Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill, She Floated Away and a couple more

Last time he toured NZ was 2010

2010 may have had something to dü with crowd numbers this time round.
I saw the 2010 show at Al's Bar in Christchurch and it was horrid in a bad way. The Bodega show the other night was much more enjoyable; glad I gave him a second chance.
