i wonder if the phoenix are missing the boat here......Popularity is at an all time high and merchandising would be a great way to pull some money into the club. the current merchandise is..well average at best and pretty non existant at worst imo

I really wanted some blk&yellow arm warmers (like long gloves with the fingers cut off) at a cpl of the colder games. and saw some on trademe a cpl of years ago and even have them in stripes of every colour but yellow

Nix merchandise is largely manufactured via the FFA, they basically come up with a product and make a certain amount with each clubs logo on it. Nix have been under supplied since season one as the FFA underestimates the level of support we give our team.

I found it weird that RYOS got the stadium jackets but the Nix store didn't (and there weren't any for kids anywhere).

will be interesting if they start making supporters bras for the shirts off female fans. Wd expect there wd be a fair bit of debate amongst the entire league wether that is a good thing to encourage or not lol

Badges, sew on patches of various designs, as said, pennants, coffee mugs of various designs (Could do a 4 setter), pens, wrist bands, player photos, team photos. All things that are not readily available. Opportunites lost by the FFA & the Nix.

No disrespect intended but someone posts that on here (about lots of 2XL and 3XL fans) every time we do a tee shirt.  The fact is that there aren't that many of you and the times we have done big big shirts we have been left with them.  Greene uses one at home as a bedspread.

True Smithy no disrespect taken. But not all Phoenix fans visit this site. just watching the crowd in the replays and there's some fans that make myself and even HN very "slim".  Some fans out there probably see the Official shop as their only source despite the brilliant efforts of yourselves and places like Ryos and Champs.

I've been contemplating getting in touch with the Phoenix to see if there are any plans for a season review DVD.  I had been religiously recording each of the Phoenix games on MySky with the intention of transferring them onto my hard drive recorder and then dubbing them onto DVD disk.  However, I ran out of space on MySky long before I got anywhere near transferring the games so had to delete them (one of the downsides to MySky is not being able to dub just the recorded files to DVD disk like I used to be able to do with Sky Digital but having to playback/record them in real time) - I just never got around to doing it (apart from the 6-0 demolition of GCU!).  So, a season review DVD with the best action from all of the games would definitely get some of my hard-earned dollars.

OK - just sent an email to David Dome asking the question.  If/when I hear anything, I'll post an update (just in case anyone is interested).

Usually clubs that win the Grand final do season review Dvd's

Nix branded lucky head-bandages

I wish there was nix duvets etc etc, wifey and i want to deck out the boys room in Nix regalia, but a couple of shirts, a flag, and a couple of phoenix facecloths don't quite cut it.

If someone else wanted to make Nix merch, who would they need to license off to use the logo? Nix or FFA?

I'm quite happy to wait for as long as is necessary until all events have played out to their conclusion...

With all these licensed merchandise people (as at 2008 granted) why is there not more phoenix merchandise around?

Need team posters next season please. Junior Junior has taken down last season's one finally.

Would be interested to know if nix merchandising is a significant revenue stream for the club. Also what the "average" fan spends on nix clobber (official and Yellow Fever).

I'm quite shocked when I look at what we've ended up with over the last two seasons (but not unhappy).

Had a reply from David this morning on the possibility of a season review DVD:

No promises but we are investigating a few options at present.
