Merry Nixmas! And a Happy New Year! (of the Phoenix)

 

At this special time of year it is appropriate that you, the fans in general and Yellow Fever in particular, are acknowledged for the tremendous support you have given the club over the last difficult period.

 

The Phoenix's off field situation over the last 12 months has been well documented. Throughout this time, when it could have been understandable for fans to become disillusioned, the majority of fans, of which Yellow Fever is core, stood firm and continued to support the Phoenix in words and actions.

 

The club is nothing without the fans in general and the members in particular. Whether you are Yellow Fever, or Family Zone or Phoenix Lounge or Gold, Silver or Benchwarmer member - thank you.

 

A special thank you to the Foundation Club members who have been there every year since 2007. And to those hard core who go to every game - wind, rain, home and away, on a cold Wednesday night or a sunny Sunday afternoon, whether we are near the top of the table or near the bottom - you are the reason the club as a whole gets up in the morning and goes off to train or switches on their Sony laptop. You are what it's all for. 

 

This is a special time for the Phoenix. We are embarking on what promises to be an extraordinary period which will see the Phoenix grow from strength to strength and fully realise that promise which we all know it has. The new ownership model promises to build on what Terry started in ways which in the past we could only have dreamed. The future is incredibly bright and is only matched by the passion and excitement which the new owners are bringing to the cause.

 

The owners, Ricki and the players, and all the staff and management wish to pass on their very best to you all and your families.

 

The era of the Phoenix is dawning. Thank you for being part of it.
