Thanks Ricki, Terry, Tony and all the players for a tremendous contribution to Wellington and New Zealand.

My guess is that there are thousands of Wellingtonians who have smiled, shouted, clapped and jumped up  and down with delight a whole lot more than they have in previous years- all because of you guys!

You've brought the joy of football to our fair city and for that I'm grateful (almost beyond words at times!).

The skill and passion you have shown has made '07 a truly marvelous year.

Have a wonderful xmas break, safe traveling and happy times to you all.

Looking forward to finishing '07 with a bang at Newcastle and welcoming '08 in with a win v Sydney!!

Cheers and Merry Xmas from this fan!!

Having the Nix has been the best emotional present I could have had for a few years. A place to sing, chant, watch, enjoy some pro footie and also just as important, meeting a lot of new people and making some friends.

So Merry Christmas to Terry, Tony, Ricki, the players and the off field employees of the Wellington Phoenix.

See ya all on Jan 4th.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Fund raising for Christmas.....well if someone actually paid $30k for it (Read this bit Terry) all my Christmas will have come at once.

I wonder if the club thought of putting on a Christmas Day BBQ and invite the fans along as well as the whole Phoenix organisation??

My Christmas was March the 19th, when Wellington's A-League franchise was truly born courtesy. Here's hoping the 25th of December is just as great for everyone involved with Wellington Phoenix FC, and of course Yellow Fever

Early-mid March was such a bleak period.  From Telfer saying it would be a "miracle" if NZ kept a team in the A-League, to 'Derek' (the guy that always rings up radiosport talking football - even Deaker) saying WLG was no chance.  Almost total despair.  Then Serepisos saved us.  Gezz...I have to be honest here....and I'm not gay in any shape or form....but really, if he wanted me to, I could have 'turned' for Terry then.  I knew it would work in Wellington.  Already, I can't wait to get back home for the Phoenix season 2 kickoff.

Regards.

Tony P, now you're talking the Yellow Fever talk, but will you walk the walk?  We want you in the Fever Zone on the 4th, and shirt off at 80!

Yeah, nice one CF. We want Terry in there as well!

Merry Xmas to the team and all the backroom staff.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Tigers' post opening this forum pretty much says it for me also.  The Phoenix have transformed Wellington.  It's great to have the privilege to support a pro football team locally and there's nothing like pacing up and down at home on match day waiting to head off to the BB and the stadium.  Many thanks Terry S, Tony P, Ricki, the team and all the Phoenix staff, as well as the fans who are entertaining in themselves.  Best wishes.

"You're so good it's unbelievable !!!"

Merry Christmas and a big thanks to the Phoenix team and management for the roller coaster ride - from a cold, windswept Hutt Rec in mid year to a 32,000 crowd in Westpac Stadium;

AWESOME

Also a big thanks and merry Christmas to the YF founders who brought us a website, podcasts, a fever zone, a pub to party in and a bbq

- see you all on Jan 4th.

Merry Christmas Phoenix team and chairman and EVERYONE involved with the phoenix...INCLUDING YELLOW FEVER! its been a superb year for NZ football, I am eternally grateful for terry bringing the nix about as when i stepped off the plane at the end of june i was all set to support the nights (as i am a football fan) and i heard they went bust and thought oh no!! i have been used to watching glasgow rangers and EPL footy, then i heard about the phoenix in July and halle luaya! i could support a NZ team, proffessional team and honestly i can see BIG things for the phoenix, everything about the setup is in the right direction and i think wait till you see next season as i think we will be back with a bang, I knew the 1st season would be hard but we need to keep at least 80% of the players as they now have experience in the A-league and bring in some new faces like rikki says will be better than the ones we have and we will be rocking!

Anyways heres to EVERYONE on here, Phoenix players, management, CEO, director, chairman and EVERYONE associated to the phoenix to have a happy christmas and a happy new year for 2008!!

Hear, hear

Certainly has been a brilliant year - OK the results have not been the best, but that is not so important this year as we are building.

The Team, Terry, Tony and Ricky and other staff, YF and other supporters, Backbencher,Thistle, and Wellington in general have been great.

The Ring of fire is certainly a fantastic place to go and just enjoy...90 Minutes, 90 emotions may be a cliche, but it is true when compared to Rugby ( I am still a season ticket holder for the canes / Lions), which is 80 minutes, 4 emotions (Anticipation, that it may be an exiting game. Actual excitement, for 15 or so minutes. Boredom, for the other 65 minutes.  Ire, at all the damn music and water boys running around) .

This season is still not over and we have some big games coming up, but am already looking forward to next year, for which I have some wishes

- A stronger Squad
- More wins
- YF going from strength to strength
- bigger crowds
- getting more of my mates to buy a season ticket
- thicketec getting their act together
- Beer throwing idiots either shaping up or shipping out
- 10,000 on the forum
- Happyted turning into a supporter - but I do like him being forthright
- All whites beating Australia, in Wellington to a full house, to take the final world cup place
- Last on not least - some decent beer please......

just when you are about to tuck into that xmas turkey, just stop and think for a while about those people in this world who are less fortunate. Those that cant afford luxuries like pudding. Those that are unskilled. Those that don't have a job. Merry Christmas George and Clebo.

You mean Corporate Bankers??

Seriously Feverish, Most do think of the less fortunate, some give their time to help locally, some send stuff overseas. But they are in our thoughts wherever in this world they may be.
