Minute of applause for Johan Cruyff?

This weekend, against Victory, how about a minute of applause to remember Johan Cruyff?

My favourite memory of him.

( Mods/admin, remove/whatever if you think this in the wrong spot. )

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Yeah I felt the MC thing was attention seeking, surely there has to be some connection to the club or the country?

I think he coached JvS for a couple of years, definitely a connection there

Cruyff was one of the very best footballers EVER.

Surely we can't ignore his going?

I honestly thought you were referring to the Martin Crowe minute of silence.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Then make a sign if you want to show your feelings at the lost. (Make sure Napier Phoenix has signed off on it, if you do it in the zone)

I think trying to get crowd to do it and it being understood a week and a bit later won't work and the time has passed.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.
I'm positive things will go wrong.

For us though, I don't think there is one. Would be a little odd for the club to organise such a thing.

Although clearly people are welcome to bring their own banners etc if they feel the need (as Yakcall said, make sure Napier Phoenix - our most respected and well reasoned poster, has signed off that it is ok).

Allegedly

No, but how about 1 minute of laughter? We could time it for when we get on the wrong end of the usual refereeing fudge up that we get every game.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
