I'd rather he kept the speed and the skill than bulked up!
But I'm worried about him taking cheap shots, that will now be inevitable. Biggest lol of the Jets game was the beaten Jets defender reaching out two hands to scrag him WWE style, only he'd skipped clean past!
i would rather he is quick, skilful and stronger personally.
I am a big Rojas fan. But I thought it was pretty obvious watching on the weekend that he loses the physical contests. He had a great game, no argument. But he is not always going to enjoy matches where he has space and opportunities to run at players. Sometimes he is going to have to tough it out. One way of helping him become a more complete player is to add some strength and physicality to his game. And that does not mean he has to put on weight. Part of it is just developing the mentality to want to be more physcial, part of it is better body position and part of it is, yes, strength.

Was fairly happy in one of the games he got subbed on - I think Muscat clattered him and he just bounced straight back up. But yeh- probably exactly the kind of situation you are talking about.

What Rojas needs in the off season to see a physical conditioning expert. He does not need to bulk up but there are programs you can go through that will add strength.
The same thing happened when that Mexican guy Hernandez arrived at Man U. The first thing that Fergie said was.."potentially great player but we need to get him into the gym to strengthen him.....so he can cope with the physicality of the EPL"
There are plenty of small guys who can hack it at the higher levels. The current French winger Valbuena(spp) is a real crackerjack of a player and he was similar in stature to Rojas when he was younger....he's now a lot stronger through training.
Skill, speed and fast feet will get you through....Rojas appears to have these attributes.
Interesting comments by Ifill about Rojas and Kosta in the Dom....basically saying they are both good enough for Europe. I know its a long way off but a player like Rojas would be better in France or Spain or some of the other Continental leagues where there is less contact allowed. he would get mashed in the UK.
