Very solid performance. Ifill for me just ahead of Sigmund. Everyone though seemed to have a good game.

Voted for Paston as he made a few good saves.

I didn't notice Siggy do anything overly impressive, having said that it was a very distracted game for me with a lot of other stuff happening so I could have missed a bit.

We dominated the air, Culina definatly got his tactics wrong against us, I have no idea why he kept on trying long ball stuff...

Siggy was outstanding, read the game beautifully and gave the newcastle strikers sfa.

Ifill was class as always, shuld have had two if not for the great save from Young.

Everyone else ran their ass off and gave everything they had, nobody had a 'bad' game so cant ask for more really.

Couple of really class touches from Ifill, but in the heat a bit quieter than normal overall, I thought, fair enough.  This time Siggy for me, the sea monster at the back, plenty of important cut outs and headers.  Always seemed to be where he needed to be and worked all game.

Good to see Leo looking fresh again.

Voted Ifill, but a few good displays across the park. Thought the three off the bench al did a little bit of good and some not so good, was hoping we'd get another goal with those fresh legs.

Thought our whole backline was immense today and did very well to shut them down. We tend to sit on our leads a bit too much but meh...

3 well earned points.. well done to the lads.

Dura - made some very, very important interceptions. Siggy was just as good of course but Dura impressed me a little bit more.

Whole backline was impressive though - Muscat had a very good game too.

Ifill very good too but faded when he was put on the wing. Wish that backheel shot went in!

Agreed. With almost all of it. Durante was boss again last night, and Muscat had one of the best games in a Phoenix shirt, in my opinion.

But I voted Siggy. He won everything, and was cool as a f**king cucumber every single time. Absolutely superb game.

The whole backline played well, defended vry well as a unit. Was also impressed with Daniel's defensive work, perhaps for the first time ever.

But MoM for me has to go to Ifill, we don't win that game if it wasn't for him, simple as that.

Sigmund
not the first time I vote for him
but first time I vote for someone who wins this prestigious award

also, is Ifill the best singing into the A-League this year?

Dunno. I hear his debut album's due out shortly tho'!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I voted for Siggy, but I can see why someone would vote for him, he was part of a dominant back 4, looked comfortable in defense, was the most attacking fullback of the 4 on the park (Jest's did nothing) and getting up and down the line in that heat is nothing to sneeze at, blocked out the backpost header from the dangerous corner, and set up the only goal of the match.

Your hate for Lochhead amuses me greatly.
