More Phoenix players for the chop!

 

 

This paragraph concerned me:The Nix axed Brazilians Cleberson and George two weeks ago. Other candidates to be shown the door in February include Aussies Michael Ferrante, Greg Draper and Royce Brownlie.

 

Sounds like a done deal, although I suspect the last three names were speculation on the reporter's part - not Terry's words - but they could be mistaken for his sentiments.

 

If they were - and I'm a big Terri fan - I'd count that an own goal.

 

No matter what he thinks of the current squad members, this is not the time for owner or coach to be naming names. 

 

Tell them in private, yes, so they can make plans for next year, but keep it under wraps to avoid publically embarrassing players we may still need to do a job out on the pitch before the season is through.
