I've never been one for idolising the goalie, but boy oh boy, those saves were impressive. And terrifying! I want a new chant people 'Moss is the Boss!!!'

And do ya reckon we can wait till our boys actually have the ball before we tell em to come on?!

'Come on [insert team name]' is also a call to fight hard to win possession.

Isn't babelfish wonderful! Vunderbar! :D

Yes, no t**ser can touch our Mosser. I almost cried when the ball slipped, then he fell, and it was still his! Oh, 90 emotions in .9 of a second...

OK A chant/song for our fav goalie

Moss! Moss!
You never play dross!
Looking at you I never tire!
Cuse unlike a certain vampire!
you never fear a Cross!

Moss! Moss!
In goal you are the boss!
Don't ever call me a liar!
Or I'll set you on fire!
when I say you are handsome as Matt Goss!
That guy we all loved out of the former boy band Bros!
Moss! Moss!

Obviously its a winner and a smash hit, should be big with ladies and gay men of a certain age who were into Bros, of which I am sure there are many in the Yellow Fever crew.

Moss was pure class for us against the jets and here is a potential chsnt for the next opposition keeper...

Where was [opposition keeper] when the ball was in the net
where was [opposition keeper] when the ball was in the net
where was [opposition keeper] when the ball was in the net
He was hanging on the crossbar with his balls up round his neck.

This chant relies on us scoring goals so hopefully herbet finally learns from his mistakes an keeps ferrante out of the squad

I reckon both keepers were outstanding ,and as for keeping Ferrante out of the squad what a ridiculous thing to suggest ,sure have him on the bench and bring him on for half an hour until he is properly ready for 90 mins,i reckon he will be a handy impact player  a super sub if you like.
Whats the story with the young guy Barabrouso  or whatever hes called is he likely to make it into  the first team this season ,he looked a bit light at the under 17s WC but might come right when playing with older more hardened professionals could he solve our goal  drought problem  if given a chance ?

The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

Kiwi, a bit off topic but I definitely think Costa will be looked at in years two and three of his contract.  I'm sure just the switch from tuesday and thursday training to full time will be a steep learning curve, probably a bit much to drop him in at this stage.  Definitely a prospect though

The question really is this:

At the start of the season, Paston was supposedly down as the number one yet Moss has taken his chance. Whats Ricki going to do when Paston is fit again and Moss is playing well?

un poisson rouge? that would be a red fish would it not? all valid attempts though. haha
As for the Moss the cat.. excellent day for him in the box. a close second behind Lockhead for player of the match. he is going to be hard work for Paston.. but competion is healthy!

I cheered that 1-handed save like we'd just scored, which I suppose it is equivalent to.

Despite all that Moss has conceded 6 in three games, not all his fault I know but those are the facts.  If Paston was the pre-season number one he was there for a reason and I'd have him back in the starting lineup.

In three games I can only remember Moss making a save in the match against the Jets.  Thats not to say he should have saved any of the other goals we have conceded, but I don't think he's done anything spectacular at all.

we are lucky that we have 2 very good keepers.  I am happy with either one of them between the sticks.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked

Blody hell. Are we not allowed to applause when our players do something special? Are we just supposed to sit in the stand and go 'Oh well, he's a keeper. He's just doing his job." Hammer Head2007-09-13 10:28:30

i did'nt mean it like that, when he does something good i'm the 1st to applaud, but let's move on and see what he can do against Sydney..... No offence meant!!!!

None taken. You're right, hopefully we'll be applauding again come the weekend.

Id rather our keepers stayed out of the game completely. play 90 minutes in opposition half, and the keeper can just stand and applaud as our boys thump the goals in.
