My only complaint...

First off, let me say that result was excellent.

My only complaint was that once we were in the lead we really sat back. Kicking the ball up field with no direction etc.

A good side will always keep attacking even when in the lead.

I don't mean to be negative though - a brilliant result.

Just something to consider in the future.

Lets enjoy it no complaints for the moment we get enough of them at other times.

Thought we just looked tired...maybe inject a bit of pace (eg. George) to spark it up.
But WE WON. Felipes goal was class!

Away from home - against a quality side and we should push forward?

Erm... No. Herbert's tactics spot on, almost grabbed a third through Smeltz but away from home against Sydney, you dont keep pushing.

I wrote a response and don't really feel like posting it.

All I'm saying is it's something to consider. And I'll leave it at that and savour the victory.

Sydney hit the post when we sat back... if we didnt score, then I'd have put money on them pulling one or more back if we were pushing for a third

Nope, tactics were spot on. You expect us to push for more goals when we are in the lead - away from home?! The counter attacking was good and remember Smeltz almost scored the 3rd.

we won,

and yep next time round ricky might tweak a few things but it was our first lead of the season - i don't care how we defended it the thing is we did

just fkn enjoy it!! how hard can that be!!!

I don't disagree with putting men behind the ball when in the lead (especially away).

But I do disagree with easily giving away possession.

It worked for us now though, which I'm very happy for.
