Keen as for this! Get to see the family and get drunk and watch footy! How much better does it get?

It took a lost weekend, at a hotel in Napier

The Phoenix had played, & the Fever were drunk.

Could be the birth of a legendary chant!

Stick your email address into http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/tour

To be honest I am mildly tempted to jet down to Wellington and start the weekend off with a roadtrip.

Promising start! Doesn't include regulars like me, News, Dale etc so should be a good group!

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

“A large number of fans have been asking us for some time to take a game to Napier on Labour weekend as it coincides with the national Under 19 tournament staged there every year” Dome said.

How many is that 'large number'? Hmm....

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

And then he travels down to Wellington so he can travel back to Napier for the game. THAT is dedication :)

It would feel kinda strange to not travel a round trip of 600kms to a match :-)

I am booked up separately, looking forward to it though!

As for train, is it even possible to get a train there? I thought not?

I believe the idea is a charter train, which can still run.

$5k a bit pricey for a kids ticket IMO

Is it confirmed what day the game is on?

Edit - ignore that question, confirmed it is the Sunday. Anyone know what time kick off will be?

Until I'm at the game, in nix gear, with the players on the field (also in nix gear), kicking a football around, I'm not going to believe this game is on.

I'd get onto it pretty quickly Jambo. I'm not sure how much room the under 19s take up but there's not a heck of a lot of accommodation in Napier. Could stay in Hastings but a bit of travel [20 minutes] if wishing to partake in festivities before/after the game.
