Napier - what we are up to... #FeverTour

Here's a little overview. These deals are for EVERYONE in Napier, not just our bus crew. Bring your friends, bring everyone, bring the homeless guy from down the street.

For the bus team:

We leave Wellington Railway Station Platform 9 at 9.30am

We're stopping at The Empire in Palmerston North for lunch. They serve Mexican. Seemed appropriate given the All Whites playoff game...

Saturday in Napier:

Depending on how everyone's feeling the bus will head straight to Park Island for a beer in the sun and a bit of the Napier U19 Tournament. Last games kick off at 5pm. You can banter about U19s in this thread over here.

On Saturday night Coops has organised a curry. Details over here but basically just email him on napiercurry@gmail.com to secure your spot so he can book. After curry, our friends at The Station (see below) are showing the Sydney derby (rrrrrrrrrrivals) and TAB are putting on a few beers. Kick off is 9.30pm. There is an earlier game, but it runs over some rugby match. The Station will be showing both, but curry will be better.

Sunday is game day (fire up, farken). The Station is the place. Short walk to the ground. Great deals from midday:

Fever Buckets $25 for 4 bottles of beer (or RTD if you're a lady).

Buy 2 Fever Buckets, get a fries free, or 4 Fever Buckets and get an 8 Slice 20' pizza free.

After match, we're heading for The Thirsty Whale. Deals to come, but they'll be running a bus on rotation from outside the mail gate. Free.

Recovery Monday

The Station are hooking up a $15 big breakfast in time for us to get over to the U19 final at midday.

Our bus will run everyone there.

Then our bus leaves from Park Island straight after that game.

Boom!

With a treacherous rip.  Not a good place to lounge about (as per the signage).

Has anyone got a copy of the 2009 Final vs the Jest that we can play on the projector screen on Saturday night?

Also acceptable would be the 6 - 0 thumping of the Cold Ghost.

Smithy & Boxey, must remember to bring the brick of Bourbons. I assume we're allowed to start as the bus departs Wellington? Toilet on the bus? Or frequent stops?

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

If the bus is going via Highway 50 then I can recommend stopping here:

Onga Onga
  • Next to Onga Onga Museum (Bridge Street).  The Public Toilets in Onga Onga were originally police cells.

I have a poorly encoded copy of the 3-0 win in Newcastle last november if all else fails and you want to admire my ability to record stuff from sky.

Will the brand spanking new fevercard be getting any shiny specials on tour? Or are we being all inclusive with these deals?
