Was having an email chat with a mate in Brisbane about Roar/GCU game and commented that 3 former Nix fan favourites were playing in that game, which got me to thinking.....

I know this is a very subjective thing, but off the top of my head I would say since we started "generally agreed" fan favourites would be: Mossy, Smeltzy, Daniel, Leo, Kosta, Siggy, Browny and more recently the great Iffy of course.

As weve lost 3 and Daniel and probably Siggy this year are both bench players, that leaves just Leo, Browny and Iffy as likely starters!  Lets hope some new favs emerge this year Toto maybe??

You can shoot me down in flames now for not mentioning your favourite player!!

I hope you're right about Siggy (but doubt it!)

Not sure about Tony as a favourite - you don't see his name/number on the back of fan shirts much - a very unscientific way of judging such things I know!

I did consider him for my list .....

In thinking about it further today, the common denominator (mostly) is being a Kiwi it seems - except for Ifill who is perhaps an honorary Kiwi as he so clearly enjoys being here (being a brilliant, exciting player doesn't hurt either of course!).  I'm not a Kiwi either (yet), but love living here, and never intend to live anywhere else now.

God has no nationality

(Edit. Just a passport of convenience. Also I note that Man City want to sign JC)

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I was being sarcastic about Lochhead and I seriously think Siggy will get plenty of game time this year be it a back 3 or 4.

Durante.  Such a class player, a laugh if you're lucky enough to meet him, leads the team well and is just a trooper.

For the man who mentioned Lochhead, after the Sydney(?) game in season 1 me and my mate asked him for his shirt but he apologized saying he wasn't allowed to give it away (even though Aloisi gave his away) and eventually we managed to get one of his socks each.  Lochhead was my friends favourite player so I managed to get $25 out of him in exchange for the sock I got.  Cheers Lochy!
