or

Pompey's Canterbury kits had a quote from King Richard I on them for a few seasons. Possibly a something about wellington from one of the quotes around the waterfront?
And here comes Andy with a Pompey reference. How unexpected :P
I've already ordered my new football kilt for the new season!
And the Aussie kit had motivational printing underneath the badge on the left hand side.
Pretty much all Nike kits of international teams have some sort of inspirational message imprinted there.
Yeah, like I said, pretty much all of them.

Even crap teams need loving too!

Awesome, there is not many Pompey supporters.
Just watch the rise, maybe not this season but give us one to stabilise and then we will be moving up the pyramid..!
Take this shite to the Pompey thread please. Thanks
whats pompy haha
The Nix suggested this an option for the charity strip. Not quiiite what I was looking for, these sorts of ideas dont work on the mi-adidas website templates. Oh well!
You could run with a Duke of Wellington quote
"All the business of war, and indeed all the business of life, is to endeavor to find out what you don't know by what you do."
"The history of a battle, is not unlike the history of a ball. Some individuals may recollect all the little events of which the great result is the battle won or lost, but no individual can recollect the order in which, or the exact moment at which, they occurred, which makes all the difference as to their value or importance."
"We always have been, we are, and I hope that we always shall be detested in France." - but change to Australia
What size shirts are we talking here?
New Swindon Town Away Shirt, same stripey template that I put up a while Back that Brentford are using.
And that is another Template Adidas have got a few teams in this season. Pretty similar except for the wierd 'wing' things on the sleeve (Long sleeved looks better IMO). For West Brom at least, has got stripes down the back as well. I don't think the top one does as far as I have seen (could be wrong though)
How about "you can't beat Wellington on a good day"
God I hope ours is better than this piece of shit.
Do you want the bat wings template??

Here's a bit of goss- the new kit will be launched 15 September at our brand new Phoenix Family Day @ Waitangi Park! Details to come soon
cannot wait!
There was an announcement and then got bored.... This happened.
Do we need a 'Kit Speculation' thread? :)
Off topic but I think its a great move moving the open day to Waitangi Park.
can we buy one on the day at Waitangi park?

I think that was the point.

I believe there will still be an Open day at the Stadium as well, but this Family day is a different event based on similar ideas. I agree it is a great move, and makes the club soooo much more visible.
I hope so. I won't be in the country for the Waitangi Park event.

I remember when at the Hunter Street shop they did names and numbers on the back of your shirt - on the spot - which tome was an exceelnt thing to do despite the cost.
are we expecting new home and away or just home?

Any reason why this can't be done? Is it something to do with A-Laegue licencing?
should be able to get A-league number and letters through Ryos, costly though.
Really it should not be expensive at all except for profiteering by the FFA. Let's be honest, the letters and number probably cost less than 5 cents to produce - probably some factory in China. I reckon $1 per letter or individual number would be a fair and reasonable charge. That gives RYOS or whoever plenty of profit and the FFA. So "Lonegunmen" &10" should cost me $12 plus a fee to put them on. At the Hunter Street event, they were charging about $50 off memory.

So why not start a wee business doing it? I'll give you $1 per character - I want an immaculate job tho (of course).

I am sure Phil would love if it was that cheap to do, but when I got my last shirt done it cost a fair amount.
AFAIK, the letters and numbers are purchased from Australia, and they're put on professionally to avoid the nasty ripples etc.
If there was a bigger market for people who actually get stuff printed, the price would probably come down, but I doubt the dozen or so people who bother would sustain a business.
Play in a new strip last night. Possibly our Away strip?
