With the sponsor they'll look a little better,

still looks like a sports bra though.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Away kit looks horrible. Looks like a bra is attatched to it.

away strip looks like a training bra/training vest.

Love the new shirt. Didnt get the previous one so will get this one.

Does Ryos do official name/numberings?

Any update on this question? Would be cool. Are there stripes on the back or plain like last seasons?

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

As with anything, best to contact Ryos first and let them know you're interested.
Phil has said he is looking at getting the letters and numbers, but he's not going to look on here unless he deadset has to.

if it is the alternate kit how often will we realistically be wearing it - we only really clash with CCM when away. Every other away game we should be wearing the home kit.

Doesnt really work like this unfortunately. Pretty sure the club is told by FFA what kit needs to be worn, i cannot think of any reason in that case why we wouldnt do as suggested above. Ever since day 1 various games away have been played with no clash, yet our away kit has been worn.

We normally play in the white strip away cuz of the heat in Aussie.

I dont think thats it, its proven that it makes little to no difference with the climacool fabric. All other A-League sides wear their away kits as often as we do ours anyway so its not just us.

They wear the away kit even when they don't need to just to generate a few more kit sales amongst us gormless lemmings.

The only other team I know that routinely wears a different kit for away games is the Victory. That is because they have a different sponsor on that kit and are contractually obliged to wear it away.

Not a great stripey lover myself hence why I like the last season away shirt...but not sure about the "bra" type shirt the nix have been wearing

Some yellow pin stripes would have improved it a lot imo.

It's just that unfortunate combination of unimaginative and $hit.  If it was in random colours then maybe it would be a different story - but same colours as last year plus pretty average template it's just a bit meh.

Disappointing because the MLS kits - which are all Adidas - are really good this year.

Really? And this didn't remind you of a Rugby jersey? I agree completely that last seasons is WAY better than the new one but certainly don't think its the worst think I've ever seen.

Looks tops with a cape mind.

Can't say that I am enamoured by the new away shirt but I need to buy a new one and I can't stand bloody stripes so may have no choice unless i continue to wear the older shirt

Last season's away shirt was a thing of beauty. Whatever replaced it was always gonna be a downgrade. Probably will end up buying it though.

Who precisely designs the shirts? Is it an in-club thing or does FFA have a say? What I'm getting at is "who exactly is to blame for Yellow Bra and what the heck were they thinking, can we ask them?"

Pretty sure Adidas would decide, they tend to have one or two common templates a year and that's it pretty much it. Middlesbrough's home kit is this but with slightly different sleeves

It's more like a retro style shirt (the collar and buttons make it so). Could have lost the yellow but it's not obtrusive.
I like almost as much as the original stripey.  If it had long sleeves it would be the sex.
