In the News section....

"Playmaking Caua Benicio, 29, a close friend of Phoenix midfielder Daniel is set to turn out for Team Wellington against Waitakere United in Sunday's New Zealand Football Championship catch-up game at Newtown Park.

Team Wellington coach Stu Jacobs is one of Herbert's assistants at the Phoenix and it is an obvious path for a player who has a "more than useful" tag and with recent experience in the lower levels in Sweden and Portugal."

Did this guy play on Sunday? Anyone see the game? Does he look like a prospect for the Nix next year? What's he got to offer?

Good on ya holeinone - I don't want to be the only person heading over to Palmy wearing yellow!

...unless you plan for cheering AGAINST said Brazilian. In which, you still get props for making the trip.

I'll be up for this one in Palmy.  Where do the Frenzy sit in the ground?

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

usually directly opposite the grandstand on the otherside of the pitch, but we might've changed (again). but no word on anything of a change yet so just assume we'll be there!

If Team Wellington suffer a particularly heavy loss and you're feeling a little down for it, you'll be in the right place anywho. In the words of the great John Cleese..

"If you ever do want to kill yourself, back lack the courage, I think a visit to Palmerston North will do the trick."

And if you're lacking a little motivation to go home..Cleese again

"And we had a thoroughly bloody miserable time there and we were so happy to get out."

another glowing report card for the miserable pisshole that is Palmerston North..

Actually yes he has been called a playmaker, wherever that might put him. Did he play and what was he like??

there are some views re Benicio in the TW v Waitak topic in NZFC section

yes he played, and generally looked useful and did the simple things well - should be good when he settles in
