that's a good shout and, yes he did quit his Russian gig and I believe he is currently without a club i am also told that he is now fully qualified with a uefa pro licence, although dale would be the man to confirm whether that is correct or not

i just find it fascinating. none of us have a clue whether italiano is a good choice or not. he has no track record and very little experience. i'm not presenting these points as arguments against him, but arguments to the fact that no one knows!
personally, i like the prospect of an internal promotion. if it is italiano, it will be a huge testiment to the work he has done in his assistant and analyst roles. and i'd hope he's the right man for the job.

Des has had it for years, that's why when he and Greenacre were co-coaches Des was listed as the head coach and Chris as the assistant. Des had the license, Chris did not.

Buckingham has signed a new deal in India, so there is no chance it's him.
That undersells his time at Blacktown. They won the NSW State League and the National Premier Leagues competition in 2015. That when the best state leagues playoff in a national comp.

This is gonna sound harsher that I intend but is he actually a good manager? The WeeNix don't seem to be exceeding expectations of them.

I always got the impression that Greeny was the more senior when Des and Greeny were interim, just the lack of pro licence meant Des had to be officially the head coach. The other times he's come in the team has been poor and might not have gotten results but definitely improved performances.
meh. Underwhelming, because it was anticipated. I'd be interested to see who else they reached out to, it's not like they openly advertised the role to see who was available.
Consistency is something we've lacked at times and this obviously maintains it. Looking forward to seeing how much of the strong recent recruitment was Uffie and how much was the other club staff.
