I just ordered my pregnant fiancee her FIRST EVER Nix season ticket.

She refused to buy one last year, saying that she hated "soccer" but came along with me for a game because she "wanted to spend some time with me".

She now loves it, and when ANYBODY mentions "football" she won't shut up about it. She paid at the gate at every match last season costing shedloads.

So we finally scraped enough money out of the baby fund to buy her a season ticket. She is giddy, although unable to attend the ChCh match because we are due on the 1st of Feb.

Ticketek is still, in my mind, the most confusing website to buy tickets from. Firstly it said that every ticket cost $410, and then when I finally worked that out, it took me a while to find the button to take me to pay for the blasted thing. Oh well.

So anyway, on behalf of me, I'd like to welcome...my fiancee to the FevernixMembership-land.

This season there HAS to be games with opportunities to get as many Nix Virgins in as possible, it's so easy to catch the Fever.
You know we belong together...

The Outlet store at Tawa has some baby Nix gear dirt cheap in the FILA shop.

Probably something at the Nix shop too.... when it opens.

Maybe cutting the umbilical cord and bathing the baby will take precedence...el grapadura2009-07-21 21:32:45

15 mins at half-time should be enough?

Congratulations! And thats great about getting her a ticket too.

Same sorta thing with my other half (apart from that we aren't engaged and she isn't pregnant (I hope)), but she was totally not into the footy, but after a few games she has totally taken to it and is keen for the new fever tops and everything. We even going to skilled Park next Feb to see Gold coast v Nix while on holiday.

Would be getting season passes if there wasn't so many work clashes, but hopefully next season we will be sweet.

Oh and you could call you're child Nix? Short for Nixon or something haha. Na I think thats one place where football doesnt have to take over. Although I know a NUFC couple whose son is Geordie... bet there's a few of them. Call him Fever?

Thanks all  I'll have to consult about the names though...at the moment I am calling the unborn fetus Borris, but to her families disgust.

She really REALLY wants to go to the AC/DC concert as well, but due date...etc

and I am sure baby mikecj will be at the first nix game available!

Anyone else going to pop their nix cherry this year?

There are precedents, e.g.: Anthony Philip David Terry Frank Donald Stanley Gerry Gordon Stephen James Oatway, named by his parents after the QPR 1973 first-team (from Wiki)
