Too hard to pick! "Being part of NZ's biggest ever footy crowd" just edges out  " Seeing Becks and giving him a "Who are ya?"" I think...but I admit, I'm not gonna miss the mo

I also had to pick being part of NZ's biggest footy crowd.  But the thought of giving Becks the "who r ya?" is a pretty close second.

for me it's the crowd at an NZ football match, I wonder how many were at the game at athletic park when England came over in the early 90s? It seemed fairly full at the time but maybe only 25k.

In some ways it's reminding me of when Kevin Keegan came over to guest for Claudelands Rovers, now that was exciting  - for a kid who'd had pictures of keegan on his wall for years before!!

Saw him in a training session he took, his focus and energy was impressive for someone at the very end of his career.

I hope Beckham brings that feeling to the thousands of kids who'll be at the RoF next friday!!!!

I would choose the "being f*&$ed off that I will be in convict nation for the next 3 weeks and missing 4 nix games" option...but its not there. So shaving the mo it is. Damn this thing is so damn itchy.

Sitting at home in front of the telly and laughing my tits off at the look of disappointment on the faces of the 20,000 Becks band wagon jumpers as he twists his ankle in the 2nd minute and goes off injured.  I may even wait outside the stadium so I can surf the tsunami of pre pubescent tears as the kids realise that he's not a super hero after all.  Of course it won't effect the true Phoenix fans because (as stated many times) they are there for the footy whoever the team is playing.

After the England game Becks was in a press conference and answered "I like them cos theys small and minty and keeps my breath fresh".

David, they were asking about McClarens tactics.

*please take this post with the humour that was intended.

Sitting at home and imagining daniels left ball (well not actually) watching the telly and realising he's missing out on the best thing in football in years

A little advice.  You've made your point (through numerous threads) that you consider the Galaxy game a waste of time and money, that you think Beckham is a poor player and the Galaxy a poor team.  Fine, we know where you stand.  The rest of us appreciate there is some validity in your comments but consider that the benefits to football from this occasion far outweigh the negatives.  I don't see that your comments add anything to this discussion.  To the extent they are intended to be humourous I'm afraid to have to tell you they have ceased to be so.  Perhaps a good time to move on to another topic for you my friend.

Swindon town?! For me personally, can't wait to see Beck's- watching Fergie's 2000 goals and you can see just what a class player Beck's used to be- and his touch and accuracy are still there, so can't wait to see him in person. Also cannot WAIT to be at the ring of fire when it is full.

Hey fair point, I did put the humour disclaimer on the end and thought this may be a bit of a standing joke.  However, I never said that Beckham was a poor player or the Galaxy a poor team.  Having said that, I didn't mean to irritate so I'll leave the subject well alone from now on in.  I hope you all have a fantastic time and enjoy the evening.

It is a circus though !

It's actually the Mighty Swindon Town i'll have you know, but not for much longer as we're about to go out of business and out of the league which after 134 years is a bit of a shame......

No jokes about this will be acceptable.
