That would be a pretty obscure t shirt reference lol.

In a related note, perhaps its time to start brainstorming for finals series t-shirt ideas? My 'never forget your first time' 2010 shirt is still one of my most prized possessions!

Oh dear god.  STOP IT.  We could easily miss the play-offs based on Maths and our remaining games.  Stop talking like it's a Fait Accompli.
 
Until there is no mathematical chance of missing the play-offs we won't be giving t-shirts, travel, celebrations or ANYTHING to do with finals any time and threads that threaten to curse us WILL be locked, hidden or deleted.

Thank you News.

Some people are talking like we have won the lottery yet we haven't bought a ticket for it. There is a lot of hard work to do against quality opposition mainly on the road with a bunch of teams compressed right in behind us. We could conceivably be 6th in two weeks... Before we start floating our boat about play-offs, lets worry about the next game and the next game only.

No one is talking like it is a fait accompli. No one is saying there isn't hard work to do. No one is not concentrating on the next game. No one is looking to start printing t shirts.

We are JUST enjoying the fact that we are second. It hasn't happened before this late in the season. So lets relax, and enjoy that the sun is shining and the team is going well and the crowd numbers are up. Some of you are so twisted and gnarled and so used to being negative and fearing the worst that you can't relax your face muscles into a smile and have a bit of fun now we are doing well.
 
We regularly poke fun at all sorts of topics here on the forum. We regularly say "Wouldn't it be fun if we..." or "Wouldn't it be great if..." or "Wouldn't it be funny if..."
 
So why on earth can't we have a bit of fun about what might be funny to print on t shirts.

No Jeff, that's not the point at all.
 
As I pointed out in my above post, I feel that what you claim is 'most people', but is in fact only four people, are, in my considered opinion reacting/commenting on something other than what was actually being said.
 
Your 'most people' were all saying let's not get ahead of ourselves/let's not jinx it/let's remember there's a lot of hard work to do/let's not talk like it is a fait accompli, and I pointed out that no one was doing any of that.
 
If you were objecting to what was ACTUALLY being said or suggested fair enough. But you weren't, and hence my reaction... You were all going off the deep end and reacting to us doing something that we were not in fact doing. All we were doing was discussing ideas for t shirts that could be funny, should we make the finals.
 
Ideas develop. Often one person has an idea, and someone else bounces off that and develops, or improves the idea. That often takes time. The idea of floating ideas up now, is to give that development/refinement process a chance to kick in, as opposed to not even talking about the subject until it was just before when we need to be thinking about placing shirt orders with the makers (should we happen to get to the position where we are fortunate enough to need to do so).
 
Just because people want to discuss the idea does NOT mean those people think, or are claiming, we have a finals spot or a home finals spot or a Grand final all stitched up.

The only problem I have with that statement is that it implies none of the All Whites in the squad are misfits or rejects.

the only problem is now I cant go to any nix games. we won 3-1 and I was sat on my couch watching it. cant break that, might jinx it...
