http://www.qpr.co.nz/phoenix.htm Now that I'm back from holiday, I will be doing something a bit better than this. I might photograph a fan per game and plant it up on this site.

Obviously, this is the main site but if we all spread the word, it can't hurt! No such thing as bad publicity eh??

where did the whole Australia FC start? why did it?

Robbie Slater started it. He keeps calling the Wellington Phoenix a New Zealand team as in representing as a national team not a club team which they are. So if we are going to be called the New Zealand Phoenix by Robbie Slater, we're calling the Aussie teams Australian Jets, Australian FC etc until Slater sorts his sh*t out.

Haha thats awesome. That pissed me off at the CCM game when he kept calling us NZ Phoenix. Aussy United it is! Jake_1442007-09-18 07:46:53

To be fair to Robbie "Kiwi Hater" Slater, he did seem to be calling us Wellington on Friday. Don't remember him calling us NZ. Maybe all the Yellow Fever abuse has got the message through his thick skull. Auckland Jag2007-09-18 11:53:23

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I thought Friday night was Andy Harper, not Slater ?

Not like I could hear the commentary in the lounge though.

Based on Friday's comments though Adelaide this week are allowed to be called Adelaide, not Australia United.

... results table should really look like this to reflect the Slater view of the A league

Table   Played Won Tied Lost For Against Goal Difference Points

Australia Mariners 4 3 1 0 5 0 5 10 Australia Jets 4 2 2 0 3 1 2 8 Australia Victory 4 0 4 0 3 3 0 4 Wellington Phoenix 4 1 1 2 4 7 -3 4 Australia Glory 3 0 3 0 0 0 0 3 Australia United 4 0 3 1 5 6 -1 3 Australia Roar 3 0 2 1 3 4 -1 2 Australia FC 4 0 2 2 3 5 -2

Don't even start me about that mercenary Slater.

He signed for us just to participate in a FA Cup Semi Final he  played in it,  was abysmal on the right wing,  then declared he was homesick for Aussie and went back with a bucket load of signing on fee cash.

I can't take anything he says seriously to be honest.

Thank you very much for doing so. I hope you enjoyed todays editorial aimed at the pathetic player efforts at QPR. I'm looking to moving the site to a new server which will give me 100mb of space so i can do a proper job for the Phoenix as well as QPR. As I said, this site here is the one for me, I liove it. i can't be bothered with the "Official" one - it sucks. but if I can do one too and help promote this club - cool. I love creating websites for fun and relaxation. But I'd love to do it fulltime instead of my current job. It explins why i can be a tad negative on here from time to time. hehehe.

Question, other than this awesome site, are there any other Phoenix sites? disregard the Official one - it's too A League run to be counted!

On the message board page I have now added one for the Phoenix too. No, not in competition with this one. Just to compliment the site and what I am hoping to do with it.

Damn it, I'm finding I'm spending more time on this site than any other sites I usually hang around on. Do I need a life??

The Plains Rangers site listed in the Links section has up to date pages for the Phoenix, and looking back into history, the Knights and the Knigz as well. It's kind of amazing the professional football has been around that long in New Zealand.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Big fella, nice work but "enrol" doesn't have an 'e' on the end. (Sorry to be pedantic but if I don't say it, some other smart arse will)

If I ever get any spare time, I'm thinking of throwing a 'Nix site together. Finding the time is the hard part

Cool, I thought Lone was wasted if he could develop  a site like this in his spare time for fun and relaxation.

Can I ask who you guys work for Feverish, as I am web professional myself?

The guys doing this site should be doing the official site. I have to be honest, I did apply for the job doing the official site but missed out.

Thanks for the spelling corrections. I don't take it personal, I have a very soft keyboard on my laptop and often I make errors.

I also do two other websites, one for a local author and one for a Rock Singer in Germany...but thats another story.

I'm rapt with the guys doing this site. They kept it simple yet it is feature rich and the video interviews are excellent. It's piss easy to navigate, doesn't fall over, is updated regular, is fun and friendly. everything one could want.
