Wellington Phoenix has secured a naming rights sponsor, twelve days after landing the franchise rights. "We were looking for a sponsor whose business aligns itself to what we are trying to achieve - and we found that with our new naming sponsor Kleenex" said the clubs owner Terry Serapisos. "We'll be wiping the floor with our opponents in August".

Soft Touch marketing consultant, April Tahi, said "the partnership is a match made in heaven". "This is a clean slate for the Phoenix, they look good on paper but the roll call of talent is second to none".

Fred de Jong, "this team's got guts, and I'm confident they'll soak up whatever's thrown at them. They've already absorbed a lot".

The team will be known as Wellington Kleenex Phoenix.

Thats funny, I thought the new sponsor was LG with a club relationship set up between the Phoenix and AEK Athens....who also have LG as their sponsor and wear the same colours...and have a similar club logo.....
Or is that just me reading too much into things...hehehe
Check out http://www.aekfc.gr/ to see the potential.
