Next coach to be sacked

This is to help pass the next week and a bit until the A-League kicks off it's fifth season.

Personally I'd give Miron Bleiberg my vote.  Clive Palmer has put so much money into this franchise and expects to not only win the trophy in the clubs first season, but to not lose a game.  They've undoubtedly assembled a strong club but I still think Melbourne has the capability to win the league and possibly even Adelaide.

Be interesting to see how Vidmar fares after his outburst late last season.

You know we belong together...

He's a good coach and has a good squad so I think he'll be fine.

I picked David Mitchell because he is far better doing that Mitchell and Webb thing.

Sydney revolving door syndrome to strike again...

Bit sad to see the sack ricki brigade out again considering the sound management job he has done this preseason. Looked at our weaknesses and got good signings. Didn't panic or jump the gun with signings either.

So why do 7 people expect him to get the sack?

Because, like the English, we are grim bastards.

Very dissapointed that on here of all places Ricki is second favourite to get the sack out of all the coaches in the league.

I'm surprised Branko Culina doesn't have a few votes.  He has a lacklustre Jest side that nobody likes and are likely to miss the playoffs.

Agreed, Ricki has done well this offseason, hopefully this season will reflect that.

As a matter of interest, what has he done well?

Identified our weaknesses. And done something about it.

He's signed 2 quality strikers which to be honest, look much better than what I thought Wellington would attract. He's found some good youth who will play this year. He hasn't rushed into any crazy signings at all.

He's also let people go. It may seem simple, but I bet its the hardest job to tell Draper / Christie that they are no longer wanted. He has made the harsh call of dropping them. Harsh, but its the right call

I voted for Miron,I feel there is a wee bit too much arrogance with his comments!!!

Freudian slip or intentional pun?

Intentional and unoriginal and disgracefully poor pun.

Maybe because they think he's the most likely? And when you think about it - he probably is up there. In his 3rd year and hasn't really achieved anything tangible yet. If he does get fired then I have no idea who would replace him, though. (I hope he doesn't fwiw, but if we don't do anything this season questions will inevitably be asked)

+1, though he does have some competition. I really hope Ricki doesn't get the sack.
That would be another average or below season for the Nix. The squad is better and we're due for better than that.
Who wants another poor season being talked up?
Lets go Ricki, go and get more than you expect.

Yup I think sometimes emotion takes over. When you look at it, yes the nix are playing better than the previous two years but the results are about the same so far. I don't want Ricki to be sacked and I don'r think he will be during this season, but he is up there as one of the highest candidiates to be sacked.
