Anyone else slighty concerned by this being on tonight only a few days out from a home match???

Haven't we got a southerly front coming through, with rain expected today? Lets not have another Skilled Park or Energy Australia Stadium  dirt pit debacle thanks.

Chill people...there won't be any problems. Certainly nothing like EAS/Skilled Park.
1. EAS had MotoX which involved tons of soil, Nitro doesn't.
2. Skilled Park had turf disease issues.
And Nitro Circus have some of the best pitch protection stuff around so we'll be fine.

Fuck this stupid game

Yeah, don't worry about it. What's the worst that could happen?

Apparently if its windy they can't do it. Interesting to schedule such an event in Welly.

I guess, it would be highly unlike Wellington to be windy 2 days in a row

I'm probably going to go. Should be an entertaining night. I do think it will still be good even if I'm in the Silver Section.

Only reason I'm not going is timeframe clash with the Phoenix.
First half in the lounge then half time dash to a pub at half time for me.

They should just relocate both to Palmy North and have them at the same time. Problem solved.

When i heard about this, I raged, esp considering it was announced right back when the Jets had just had pitch problems as well. Hoefully the pitch protection is as good as TopLeft says it is...

Came up good. There's a bit of stress here and there but nothing some sunlight won't fix. Need not worry!

I had a great time. Amazing to see it all live! Like Bon Jovi! Wasn't unhappy to miss the Phoenix match live when I heard the score and the performance.

."As most were working at the Nitro Circus show last night, the always-obliging and conscientious ground staff of Wellington's Westpac Stadium did not get the chance to see the replay of their favourite football team Wellington Phoenix playing Sydney FC until well after work.

They worked diligently throughout the day to prepare the field for Wellington Phoenix's crucial match with North Queensland Fury on Sunday.A staff spokesperson confirmed the field had come up surprisingly well following the Nitro show and would be in a perfect state of readiness for the must win game......

Ground protection was excellent and the boys kept off the grass really well. The odd time they  did get on it they didn't patch it up with spins or anything.
