Hey guys,

just trying to sum things up a little bit.

So when is the squad back to Welly to start training again? I heard it's early in April - am I right?

Secondly, presuming that I am actually right, when do you think we'll hear more certain news about new imports/players being released?

I mean, surely Ricky wants a full team ready to train from day one! He surely knows that the Nix didn't perform as well as they could have in Season 1 because the team had to be assembled in a hurry and we signed basically whoever we could get....

Any thoughts?

Ah, lastly, does anyone know when the new Season tickets will be released and if the prices are going to go up or down?

hope everyone is OK, must admit that can't wait for season 2 to start as I find this off-season time incredibly boring!!!

I heard on Radio last week they were due to start back training tomorrow

I saw them train after work at Newtown #2 last wednesday

As well as the squad there was Tony P., Terry and his kid and Mal I from the back room all playiong a short game- Daniel looked right on the money once again

Great to see the boys at Culture Kicks too-

I counted about 18-Both keepers,- actually i think it was almost full squad-not Costa though

my dad wants to know coz he needs to talk to him about coaching the academy sometimes at rongotai and 1st 11 trainings sometimes. and to help with my brothers team. or something like that

Present at training today: Moss, Paston, Christie, Dodd, Lia, Johnson, Ferrante, Daniel, McKain, Durante, Coveny, Smeltz, Draper, Lochhead

Present but not training: Brown, Bertos

Absent: Leilei Gao, Aloisi, Costa, Hearfield

Wayne O'Sullivan took training, Ricki wasn't there.

Just got back from the nix practice and I have to say I was very impressed... the team look like they really want to do well this season.

Moss and Paston trained hard and pulled off some big saves in the 7v7 game.

McKain and Durante looked very good... you can see there is lots of quality there.

Dodd, Lia, Christie, Johnson, Ferrante, Daniel, Coveny, Smeltz, Draper, and Lochhead all trained well... esp IMO Lockhead and Johnson who looked very sharp.

Costa, Brown, Bertos showed up but didn't train.

No sign of Gao, Aloisi, or Hearfield

Oh and Ricki was there!

caught the last 40 mins or so - 7 a side game with a fitness focus (talking to a sports training chap who reckoned that the challenge for the fitness team is to keep the players average heart rate down at this stage of pre-season so they don't over do it - you learn something new everyday)

Lei Lei Gao not there, niether were Ross or Ricki in evidence when i was there

Tim Brown and Leo Bertos where on the sidelines

Durrante was doing a bit of organizing at the back and someone who follows the game closely rated McCain's efforts highly

Vinnie Lia looked to be operating in a right back position (albeit in a seven aside line up).

all in all just a buzz to see the lads out there - it's still a long wait til preseason games tho - aarghhh

highlight of the session for me - Lia dropping a ball right into the top of the balls bag from about 35 metres - classic

Had a wee chat to Leo B - nice chap

You should be able to text him in Oz? I'm with Telecom and I text Germany all the time.. I'd imagine if it's possible to text there you can text Oz?

Hey if he happened to have the footage of him skinning Cafu as well that would be mint to put on Youtube or in our national football museum or just have played on a big screen continously through out the 'Nix matches...
