I didn't but I was blinded by the driving wind and rain.

"We've got the wind, the rain and not long now for the Phoenix, oh ......"

The flags looked pretty good last season, be great to have banners and (potentially) billboards as well. Just remembered those bus stop signs that were out last year also
You know we belong together...

We need some windproof Wellington Phoenix umbrellas, lots of little bill boards walking all around the town. :)

How appropriate.

The club do a fantastic job regarding billboards and flags etc. As soon as the advertised game has been played, the next morning a new billboard advertising the next home game is up. The Council are also to thank for the flags etc.

Did you know there's an AB game tomorrow here in Wellers?

There's flags/billboards etc for the Phoenix and our preseason game is still a couple of weeks away and bugger all for the AB game.  The Phoenix organisation is all over their rugby counterparts.  I can see Tony P. getting head hunted.

I suppose the money the nzrfu save on advertisng they can  use for media training the players in anticipation of more drunken embarrasments

lets be honest the all blacks dont really need to advertise for a test match the media do all that work for them in the 6pm news.

the phoenix on the other hand need to get there name out there as much as they can get people talking, but in saying that i dont think running front page advertisments will get them alot of members - win first game of season then do that and get word of mouth i can garentee you'll sign thousand odd people after that first game if all goes well (result and crowd behaviour)

Even better than than, I'm sure the bus stop outside Parliament whilst on the way to the BB pre-match would advertise that day's game, yet when leaving the BB post-match would be advertising the next game!

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Haha, it's Wellington's age old problem. Put some holes in it so it doesn't get caught by the wind...and then it leaks.

Wind, rain, but hey atleast we got the Phoenix.

Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.
